Actually, now that you say it, the number of nurses per 1000 population is above average in Ireland, while the number of parliamentarians for the main chamber is below average, so the statistics disagree.
Not exactly true, I actually seen someone yesterday on twitter who had got covid was blaming everyone and anyone. Seemingly all children going to school should still be wearing masks. Never mind what affect it has on the children, who cares about them, this woman had covid.
Now that is what was going on during covid expect multiple it by about 300k.
I taught this was to be stopped after that farce in maynooth....what's the point of all this building,if we aren't letting people buy em as homes
Fcuking failed state material.....we need to start electing people to look out for interests of people living or working here
One episode of Joe Duffy with three nurses and now healthcare workers are leaving in droves and none are returning
Is this the same episode when you tried to say housing was better in Australia when it is clearly not
Anyway do you have anything to back up all these healthcare workers leaving in droves?
Point out the exact post where I said "housing was better in Australia" and I will send you 100 Euro. Go on.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) said trolley numbers have become unsustainable and will impact nurse retention in the coming months as they deal with the fallout of the crisis. Over 5,262 patients have been on trolleys since the beginning of May according to the union’s trolley watch, a 68 per cent increase on the same time period in 2021. “In recent surveys by the INMO in some of Ireland’s busiest emergency departments, over 30 per cent of nurses stated that they were likely or very likely to leave the profession in the next 12 months,” said INMO general secretary Phil Ní Sheaghdha.
Actually no, hold that thought - you are baiting again looking for a censorship ban. I vowed not to respond to your utter nonsense again. Today I failed.
Bye bye BA, I hope you grow up. You really haven't a clue but keep up the good work.
Report that.
So in other words the HSE workers are not leaving. They done a survey and 30% suggested they might leave.
More personal comments 🙄
Have you the numbers since the start of the year? or just one month?
This is the problem I find with twitter. First off the person shares one month data which automatically suggest they are hiding something
It would also suggest if we look at previous years the numbers are a little different when someone actually pulls the full year
Hasn't the takeover of housing by corporate overlords enabled by liberials really gained traction over last 16 months.....your using out of date data,to justify subjecting the Irish people to enrich forgien landlords with their wages
We need to elect people to look out for those living here, not enforce corporate interests onto the populace,....PBP were right all along, they called how this would play out years ago
I don't think any TD should enter a dail, which works to keep the population here downtrodden and attempts to justify driving them to destitution
Do you have the numbers for the year please?
If we have them it would be a better conversation as we would have a clear picture.
I have, and they are freely available upon that Twitter tread
Not that it matters, not a single house should be sold to forgien landlords, not a single should be sold to local landlords either
We need elect people to serve interests of the populace, this business friendly sh1t has ended in disaster, there's no recovery for an ideology that funnels 60%+ of houses to forgien landlords and sets market to exclude ordinary people from buying here......
.what's point in complaints about objections when forgien landlords buy up majority of homes anyway.....we need to look after people first and foremost and end the underlying conditions that allow this mess to propagate
People want to rent
The majority are not bought for rental.
We are looking after people first, then we need to invest in more houses for LL to buy for rentals.
14% of renter's want to rent
We don't need landlords,it's an utter disaster, thousands and thousands of kids in homelessness is a testament to what landlords deliver to this state
We need to look after people first and foremost, let landlords, forgien landlords and those who enable majority homes be bought up by outsiders go fcuk, their ideology is failed, has never worked anywhere it's been tried......this was to been sorted years ago after that maynooth scandal and it looks to me,as absolutely fcuk all of substance has been done....heading for failed state territory......when country was on its knees in the 50s at least we could house our own
But we are looking after people first, just look at the numbers
If you and to bury your head in the sand and think ireland doesn’t need rentals that’s your choice of course. Don’t expert everyone else to
But as the numbers say the majority of houses are going to people and the remainder to companies to provide much needed rental properties.
.
Would this article, with the headline "Nurses and midwives leaving healthcare system in droves as cost of living crisis bites" suffice?
Selling 60% plus of houses to outsiders isn't looking after people
Don't ever piss on someone and tell em it's raining......
we need elect people to only look after people....let forgien landlords and those whom want to subjuctate Irish people to em,go fcuk tbh......this was supposed to been stopped years ago,yet here we still are, nothing eve changes in this utter dump
So they are leaving because they want more pay and not because of conditions as claimed above ?
Thank you for clearing that up
Well as I said many times I 100% support the nurses getting more pay and last time I marched with the nurses to show the government my support for them. I will also be doing the exact same this time but didn’t I see something about a pay agreement already made?
Have you the numbers for the year? , the 60% has already been proven to be BS….
Not sure what the vulgarity is about?
Also it doesn’t specify if these companies are local or foreigner investors, maybe you can confirm?
No vulgarity there.....but way to go trying to shutdown discussion as per usual
60% is too many,1 is too many, this was supposed to been sorted years ago,yet the government have been let it go,acting against the interests of the people,we need elect people to look out for ordinary folk, not those who enforce a corporate agenda onto the population.....all my life,I've seen it get worse and worse, thousand and thousands of kids in homelessness and forgien landlords buying 60% of homes here....what a joke of a country we have become
Why would I "shutdown discussion as per usual"?
I asked you to provide the information, so have you the numbers for the year? are you able to provide information on who is buying company wise and if foreign? thanks
60% is incorrect....
You accused me,unfounded,of being vulger as an attempt to steer conversation away from content needing discussed...such transparent partisanship is just sad mate
60% is incorrect,it's 61% of homes the government is allowing forgien entities buy up to force people to rent to drive another generation into destitution......these people don't work in favour of the ordinary people, their interest is self interest and not to help anyone
But hay,you work away trying to shout down any conversation you dislike, what's point in complaints about objections, when over 60% of homes are allowed to be bought up by forgien landlords....this was supposed to been stopped years ago,why do the government just never do anything to help people here?.
I asked multiple times now for the full year report on the housing, any chance of sharing it?
You seem desperate to shut down the question, I wonder why that is.......
The tweet refers to 575 new homes sold in the month of June in Dublin. The bulk of that could be one apartment block.
Its designed to promote angry discourse and of course Rorys new book..
Its the same as people putting up data from 2018 to support a government formed in 2020 the other day. Spoofers
Its 61% of houses.....enough of your pretend dumb trolling,it's lame as fcuk.....
your one to demand everyone stop objections....but what's the point, when the government allow vast majority of homes built be bought up by forgien landlords?
We need elect people to look out for ordinary people, not those in tow to forgien landlords
Noises in FF already. Cowen seems to be hoping for a return to the front bench.

Minister for Road Safety?
Sorry, you've been caught here, what are the yearly numbers? Do they track with the previous year for investor funds (~4%) ?
That % is lower than I thought it would be while 61% has proven way too high for the year (given that it could be an apartment block). If you're going to bash the policy, you need to come with the real numbers.
As 1% isn't too high, it's probably too low, unless you're aiming for a socialist revolution.
Why not aim for 0% until housing crisis is sorted....long past time,we put people of the country first
Wouldn't be surprised if Martin decided to do something like that. :)
Quality advertisement for putting the greens into power👏👏
Because if the number is in the single digit's then it's unlikely to make much of a difference while being legally dubious and there will likely to be multiple ways around it anyway. The numbers matter and the twitter claim has been shown as, at best, misleading.
(and each of those units will provide accommodation for people within the rent limits if within an RPZ, which will likely house more people than apartments sold to individuals).
