Spot on, it has been 30 years since collapse of USSR

Copying Macron, who was copying Zelensky 😀
Russia - former democratic*, cultural and scientific powerhouse
I noticed that too. He actually looks out of place in it.
Be careful interpreting edited clips during war time.
The result, a local military commandant has his car blown up.
Looks look they just stuck an ill fitting jacket on him, shoes and civvies underneath.
He rarely wears anything military related other than the same military parka for the last 8-9 years when he's seen at an exercise on a base somewhere.
He's pretty much always in a dark suit with one minor exception his calendar
Because there were no military jackets available for midget dwarfs
Since when did Ventress from Heartbeat join the Russian high command?
Wouldnt you laugh if the president have taken over the command of your forces and wears camo uniform
Is that a first time request? They did not seem to bothered all along about their dead and injured.....horror stories circulating about officers shooting injured Russian soldiers who were going to slow things down endangering the rest.
It seems to be first time request, if a little old fashioned even
second strongest army (in Ukraine) turning to North Korea for aid
Ukraine vs Russia
China resupplying North Korea with military gear like rockets and shells... I would not bet on that. China has no desire to give the US reason to start taking an interest in the North. Those republicans in the US are aching to knock off Kim Jin One. 4 years down the road... I would say whatever Kim sends to Russia will not nearly be as big a supply as has been reported. Much like those thousands of army boys he the north previously offered. What help Russia gets is a near fraction of what Putin has been begging for around the world. Will not help Russia at all.
I'm wondering where all the there's either no invasion or Kiev will fall in 72hrs Posters have gone .😜😜😜
Just do it
We need to go after every embassy and consulate
Russia - permanant dictatorship since...forever.
Russia is (and Soviet Union was) a Kingdom of Schizophrenia
some progress
No mercy
Russia was never democratic, before the communist revolution it was an autocratic monarchy.
More Polish artillery on the way
The 'former soviet' moniker does, however, have a lot more relevance in the current environment than 'former british colony' for Ireland or 'Former Nazi state' for Germany, as to my knowledge, the UK has made no particular indication that they might even consider re-integrating Ireland into the Kingdom, or that Germany is about to revert to Nazi rule, while the current war is very much about a state formerly under the control of Moscow, and the current chap in the Kremlin has also made statements relevant to other states formerly under Moscow's ministrations, not least the Baltic ones. The moniker both describes the threat and the previous experience of those states directly relevant to the threat.
Agreed, but in my experience the term 'former Soviet' is usually used by pro-Russian media in an attempt to justify why Russia wants to take 'back' Ukraine.
eg. read this Iranian piece posted here a few days ago and notice the terminology used. https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/09/04/688626/Russia-Germany-Ukraine-sanctions-protest-gas-Cologne
It legitimises Russian bullshit claims on half of Europe and plays into their propaganda by dismissing the 30 years of divergence from Russia
Putin, Lavrov and Russian tanks all mentioned a drive to Berlin
Do we start calling Germany the “Former DDR”?
Hmm I might just start doing that 🤔
Aside: Putin is not trying to recreate USSR (which he hates) but the much wider imperial Russia, where he of course is the emperor
