Chances North is being resupplied by China for these weapons are 100%, the Chinese Whospers goes full circle
Aside: That the European (there are obvious non eu members deeply involved) countries will, to quote a poster, “freeze this winter and drop their pants for Putin” meme is just the height of wishful thinking by Putin cheerleaders
As been pointed many times before the main supporters of Ukraine are USA, UK and a band of countries bordering Russia for whom Russia is an existential threat as per Putin’s own imperial ambitions unveiling speeches (never mind daily nuclear threats)
The choice for likes of Germany after much reflection and hand wrangling would be:
There is a lot of wishful thinking from usual eurosceptics but they forget that EU and it’s members always muddle thru crises, and this one is not in same league as euro and Covid crises
The Afghan war dragging on for 9 years would also have been a contributory factor. Regardless of the number of Russian casualties, I think the war will need to last at least 12 months before ordinary Russians (whoever they are) start to grow weary/frustrated with the direct impacts of the war. They may become unhappy before that with the indirect consequences of the war.
Id give them the same respect they gave civilians ,
None ,
Keep shelling lads and ladies
I don't for a second think they want a ceasefire to collect their dead... it's for strategic purposes. But, even giving them a ceasefire is negotiating. You don't negotiate with terrorists.
source?
Please keep posting the Russian side of things also. Most people are interested and can make their minds up if it's propaganda or not.
An echo chamber is not healthy for anyone.
I agree and I also believe that this has been the EU plan since the start and that the Ukrainian government have been consulted on this.
We need to remember Nordstream 1 carries about 1/3 of Russian gas to the EU. The largest pipelines go through Ukraine and they could have cut off that supply months ago if they wished to, but they have not. They have not in spite of the rather stupid criticisms thrown at Germany that they are funding the Russian war, if that were true then the Ukrainians are complicate in the Germans funding the Russians.
The fact is Germans, French and Ukrainians realised there was a common problem at the start of the war and they together started mitigating against that problem by the following,
a) Continued supply of Russian Gas through Ukraine and Nordstream for as long as possible.
b) Building up EU reserves before winter from (a)
c) Reduce demand - 15% planned reduction.
d) Alternative supplies routes and new pipelines. - The long term plan and the part that was never going to happen before now because infrastructure does not magically appear.
Also we need to remember, while Germany is the biggest importer of Gas it is/was the largest exporter of Electricity in Europe. It imports Gas, burns it to produce electricity and sells that electricity to its neighbours. Many of those neighbours are the most active in supporting Ukraine.
Which is why visa ban is so important
Right now Putin’s propaganda machine minimised loss of businesses and can spin spin spin
Hard to spin not being able to reach cultured countries which is the main aspiration of Russians who deep down know they live in a shithole
Very very likely the Chinese are doing that alright.
I presume that this is aimed at me since I said to you that an account with a cartoon Frog avatar and "Z" in its bio wasn't likely the best source of objective information. I subsequently learned that the Telegram account that they were sharing , Rybar, is a pro-Kremlin account.
As for the rest of your statement. I was neither "extremely angry" nor were you some kind of victim of my wrath. Having someone question your sources is not getting "attacked".
I must say, the Germans must regret giving so little support to Ukraine now, they’ve done so little for a country of their size to try to avoid pissing off the Russians….
And the Russians have still fucked them over…
They’ve been played for fools
Those who predict a break up or weakening of the western coalition over energy supplies are ignoring just what a danger Putin is perceived as posing to Europe. There are genuine fears that he might invade Poland or the Baltic states in future and that even NATO membership might not stop him. Saying that NATO would easily repel him is not taking into account that huge numbers of Poles or Baltic people would probably have to die in the process.
Signing some sort of 'peace deal' with Putin at the moment in order to secure energy supplies would be downright dangerous.
A report from the Wagner mercenary channel posted just minutes ago.
Some open sources (with confirmation of closed ones) report that in the Kharkiv direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched offensives in the Balakliya area, there are reports that bridges are being blown up, since the opponent has already been able to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the city.
Location is here, it's at a crossroads and looks strategically important https://www.google.com/maps/place/Balakliya,+Kharkiv+Oblast,+Ukraine,+64200/@49.4591385,36.852532,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4127532790093a93:0x2810ccbf2ee6a446!8m2!3d49.4643925!4d36.8584805
It wasn't you.
The Germans were buying time... The Ruskies figured this out... although Russia is still trading with their enemy.
I'd say it's more likely they were feeling out the Ukrainans to see how favorably they May be treated if it comes to being captured or If they surrender
❗️ Eyewitnesses from Berdyansk report an explosion and shooting near the city administration building.
Seems like a busy day in the Russian occupied part of Ukraine today.
Id say an excuse to regroup and dig in
when did Russians ever care about their soldiers?
Not in Germany they're not ..
And I don't think here either ...( You'll find a few nuts in every pack,of every colour )
So looks like offensive in Kharkiv is in progress as well
I guess it was a clever move from Ukraine to fool the russian into Kherson and trap them and also split them into two fronts and thin the defence lines in the east and south.
Lets hope Putins reserves doesnt make it in time, but then again its only contracted conscripts with 1 months training,so not sure they will contribute with much.
More progress in Kherson, looks like they try to encircle Kherson
You can feel the tension from here
myna Balka ~20km west from Kherson. Detonation of Russian ammunition. Now.
Ukraine is now having some success behind enemy lines
The Ukrainians should have infiltrated a commando group to ink the eyepieces of those binoculars.
Someone was stuck in the loo with irritable bowel syndrome, or more like irritable putrid syndrome
Carlsberg doesn't do awkward events, but if it did...
Considering the offensive is taking across 170 + km ,
I don't think they are feinting where they are targeting, I think they are breaking though quicker than anticipated and forces on the ground are pushing forward as and when they can
First time we've seen Putin in military garb since the conflict started. Very interesting
Yeah its not a large scale offensive in the Kharkiv region, its just that they take advantage of the places where defence lines are thinner is my guess.
As long as they make some progress before winter comes and can capture some strategic villages and perhaps cities.
