The green agenda is to close fossil fuel plants in favour of windturbines and solar panels - however the pragmatic reality is that is not possible without spinning gas reserve. The reason is gas and not oil or coal is because gas is seen as the "cleanest" fossil fuel.
It is also green agenda not to develop gas fields because fracking bad, more fossil fuel extraction bad etc, but for some strange reason its totally OK to import.
Thats how we ended up as gas-dependent economies. Its eco-friendly and its cheap. But its not secure
To be fair you did... But, you are one of the few regulars (been here years) that mostly (admittedly not exclusively) post updates that show Russia doing well. Maybe it's a to balance out tactic, but most of us wouldn't go near the sites you'd need to go to to get the pro Russian material.
The consequences of the fuel/gas supply being decimated run FAR deeper than you wearing an extra pair of wooly socks in Winter 😄
Just remember, the vast majority of politicians don't give a damn about you, or your family. Not Putin, Zelensky, Varadker, or any of the puppets in Europe. Never forget that, my friend.
That would be Finland NATO vodka I think. 🤔
and then back in to pour some more vodka on the coals 🙂
I was sure too. I remember being surprised reading on oryx they killed no tanks in Ukraine but I can't find the reference now. The impression is they were killing tanks right left and center but that is often from other drones. Here's all I could find on it (no tanks mentioned) Bayraktar TB2 kill list in the Russian-Ukraine war 2022 - YouTube
Where i grew up,i dont think we have anything to fear in Ireland
The Green agenda is to.... rely on Russian Gas and Oil....
Makes complete sense.
Yeah it's mad. I remember going to school with no heating on in winter wore coats in class I'm still alive.
😄👌🏼
Hard to say,i know Russian railways are struggling with spareparts,so it could be anything i guess.
The good thing is that the deliveries are arriving late for the frontline
Thats true, but certain condition have to be met
The river depth at the crossing site cannot exceed five meters. The river bottom has to be suitable (sand, pebbles) so the tank will not get stuck; the river cannot be more than a kilometer in width; and the current has to be two meters/second or less.
For an amphibious IFV or APC i guess only the current to be a problem
Literally just posted something today about Ukraine having air superiority over a part of Kherson.
Why didn't the Russians try this approach with the initial failed crossing of the Siverskyi Donets back in May?

That depends offcourse what kind of payload they are carrying
There are 2 types of laserguided bombs and missiles MAM and UMTAS
Maybe they didnt have the UMTAS untill now,but i am sure i have seen footage of bayraktars destroying tanks in Ukraine in the beginning of the invasion.
Link to the last post where you showed exclusively Ukrainian forces triumphing over Russian soldiers. I only remember you posting Russian victories - plenty. Mad coincidence?
No sane person could support ending the sanctions, Russians undoubtedly behind them. I think they want to move the needle to a situation where it becomes acceptable in the west to say the sanctions should end.
Of course they can't end, unless there is a Russian withdrawal, they have murdered thousands of innocent people, stolen children and raped women. There may be a political backlash against politicians unfortunate to be in power from frustrated electorates, but the voters aren't going to be crazy enough to support going back to Russia.
Nah guy with a sledgehammer more like it. Paper thin roof yet no blast damage from inside setting fire to said roof.
True but your assuming they replace the rubber seals and alike to snorkel with tanks. We seen they have been using rubber instead of steal on the explosive reactive armour some of them have on.
Damage at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant as result of new shelling
I was wondering about that myself. Googling it it seems that the average depth of the Dniepr is 8m - which would clearly be far too high. There are historically low river levels all over Europe right now though but it'd probably need to be under 2m. The fact that I haven't heard of it as an option up until now makes me think that it's not low enough.
In fairness, Russian tanks and IFVs don't need bridges, if the river has suitable banks. The bridges are, of course, indispensable for fuel and ammo trucks, though.
I was looking at Russian losses well into the war and TB2 did not kill any tanks. Mostly anti aircraft, IFVs etc. I think they now have different ammunition. (Quadcopters did kill tanks with anti tank grenades dropped on them)
65 billion AFAIK that is about 850 euro/ head of population. The Irish budget this year will be higher than that per Capita.
The German support repeated in Ireland is equivalent to 4.5 billion approx
I don't see any Ukrainian badges or identification. A lot of stuff is posted pretending Russians are Ukrainians and vice versa.
The 2021 rise wasn't but the stratospheric rise at the end of that graph was.
The EU really needs to decouple Gas from the electricity market.
One of the best explanations I've heard:
It's only NordStream1, gas is still flowing via other pipelines, so it would be pretty impossible to get the likes of Hungary on board with sanctioning the rest of the Russian banks for fear of their gas being switched off.
As for seizing Russian assets, I'm not sure there legal means within the EU, however I'm sure the likes of Gazprom could be sued for breach of contract and any payment could be paid via banks etc...
Rising gas prices already occuring in 2021 ..... nothing to do with the russians
Yakutia's about as far away from Ukraine as you can get in Russia - are they implying this was sabotage? I'd say some official stealing the maintenance budget might be the more likely root cause.
