Gigs announced this morning .
September 9th & 10th .
I'm assuming that setlist will be mostly the 'classics' and differ from the American shows
Can't say I listened to the new albums (2014-onwards) much and tbh wouldn't know any songs from them. 'All Day Long' seems to be the opening song which is from 'FUN'
Judging by the last setlist in Dallas, he played Fun from the new album as you said, and the most recent song besides that was released in 1997. It's all the old stff I'd say/hope
Are there people stupid enough to end up going the wrong day ?
A friend bought 6 tickets, 2 for me but we're in a totally different section/entrance. So how can we use his account for entry? I have a screenshot of my tickets.
@TheDriver A screenshot wont work as far as i know, but transfer is available (on mine anyway) so he should be able transfer the tickets to your ticketmaster account.
A screenshot is fine, Once they can see the square barcode thing you're fine.
Ya a screenshot will be fine for entry
It says here screenshot wont be accepted, so prob best not to take the chance
Just to note - screenshot on whattsapp worked for me previously, but didn't last night I know that Ticketmaster were on about new technology where the bar code keeps transitioning every so often - which would make a picture of a barcode redundant.
I wouldn't take a chance again of a screenshot on whattsapp.
Yeah ticketmaster is now using live QR codes that change every minute. Screenshots won’t work as a result
No they're not.
Looking forward to seeing the stage
Just read what it said, if you d ownload to your wallet is pretty much same as a screenshot just more secure.
Few 'Garth Brooks Ireland' shirts in the Dublin Airport duty free
Did I get tempted to buy one ?? Yes I bloody did ha
I only know one song of his, never seen or heard him other that but am heading next Friday and really looking forward.
Its been a while since i was on boards, has anybody seen anything to where the stage set up will be, i have been told it will be in the round an i have seen a map for accessible seat holders that seems to suggest this is the case but the photos aiken have released seem to conflict so far, anybody any new info?
Few videos floating round tiktok of the stage set up - if you have tiktok look up croke park official page - possibly on their other social media platforms also
How are you so sure? That revolving code thing has been created. Question is, do they implement it in Ireland. One point in the following article mentions that you can see the code changing on the e-ticket. https://lifehacker.com/when-a-screenshot-of-an-e-ticket-will-work-and-when-it-1849372189
This is a message from the person who gave me a ticket for Arcade Fire - "Actually, the QU code does seem to change shape so maybe a screenshot won't work". And it wasn't a scam by them, as the ticket was free. 2 hours later, the ticket wouldn't scan.
The revolving code is in use in stadiums in America and a few venues, I've used it in Dallas and MSG, it's a "live barcode" you activate it and you have 15 minutes to get it scanned or you have to generate a new one, as it's active a coloured line slides across the screen which apparently can't be read by the scanner unless it's screenshotted. It's all part of the plan to move to 100% digital.
Is it possible that ticketmaster gave away the free arcade fire tickets with the secondary view of testing this new technology? Absolutely, and I never said they didn't.
Do ticketmaster have a system that changes your qr code every minute (keep in mind if you save it to your Google wallet it would involve TM accessing your account nearly 1500 times a day) that would be rendered completely obsolete by printing out the ticket? I'm veering towards no on that one.

Kinda goes against what they're advising tho to have the ticket downloaded in advance.
Pitch tickets for all nights now up on ticketmaster if anyone is looking for them, got my seats moved from 315 at back to 302 right next to stage due to poor view or obstructive view by ticketmaster. A bit worried abt it as this stage is supposed to be quite high up and I'm only 8 rows up!
Ok. Maybe. I don't know. I wouldn't understand the technical issues involved. I don't think I'd rely on a screenshot anymore.
It was ok during the week - the lady just let me in anyway. But that would seldom happen.
Happens more than you would expect. I've worked on the turnstiles for many events and there are always sufficient numbers of these for me to lose faith in society.
The ones that turn up a day early usually laugh it off as they can come back again on the right day, depending on where they have travelled from. The ones that turn up a day late are out of luck.
Hi guys, any advise appreciated here. 5 of us staying in park west. We could get dart to heuston and luas from there. But would we be better to share a taxi...would they get us anywhere near the stadium?..say around 3pm we'd be ready to leave..
You can get the Luas from Heuston to Conolly and its walking distance from there, about 20 minutes
Yeah, a taxi between 5 would only be slightly more expensive than public transport, it'd drop you either at the bottom of the whitworth road or ballybough, both a short walk from the stadium and exactly where public transport would leave you.
That is unreal. I think some people are so used to others sorting stuff out for them that they don't even bother checking dates.
I have double booked a concert with something else a couple of times (months in advance). Had to sell on the tickets.
Google calendar makes life so much easier. ☺️
Seeing that some people are going to all the concerts ... super fans ..isn't that being real greedy, when other people can't get tickets at all ?
What would Garth say about this ?
🤣🤣🤣
"Hell yeah, should've tripled the ticket price. "
I have 4 spare standing tickets for Saturday, will I be able to sell them back to Ticketmaster (not available yet)?
