Hi lads,
I was just on three.ie website and noticed they have a new plan to compete against gomo and the rest. Unlimited 5g data, calls and texts for €15 every 28 days
https://www.three.ie/buy/prepay.html
Sounds a good offer, especially as it'll work better roaming etc than 48.
It works out at €16.29/month as it is €15 every 28days
Ok, thanks for the calculation, still a good deal imo for a main network
Is it for life like gomo?
Decent offer, I'm paying €20 every 28 days with Three for 4G data.
Does anyone know if I could switch to another network for a month, and then switch back to Three to avail of this offer as a new customer? Or would there be something preventing me doing this.
Are u still on PM? I'm jumping ship, data hasn't improved for me
Quite a sneaky monthly timeframe
No. Tesco Mobile is the same https://www.tescomobile.ie/prepay-plans.aspx
And Vodafone
I see there is 13GB allowance for EU roaming, but what about UK/NI roaming? I don't see any mention of UK/NI in the T&C.
Very sneaky, wonder what else they've up their sleeve, staying away from this.
They are all at this with the short month. If the regulator and consumer protection had any teeth they would clamp down on this. You can set up an automatic topup usually and forget about it.
Still no wifi calling for iPhones. When they support this I might consider Three again.
Be careful switching. You may be on the legacy plan where you get unlimited data and get to keep your credit for €20. I pay for a couple of subscriptions with mine.
As far as I know, with the new ones your €15 is spent straight away on the plan.
Which networks do support wifi calling.
Cant make out if it has free calls to other networks Vs the 20 euro deal.
When I was last on three my credit would always evaporate. At this point I would only consider a monthly all inclusive sim only plan so I have fixed costs and no bill shock. I'm not going to micro manage the credit.
If you are giving them to a kid the problem is they unexpectedly run out of credit and are unable to contact you if they need to.
I guess for me the keep your credit is only useful if you micro manage it.
I know it’s very subjective but is the coverage with three generally good ? How would it compare with coverage from Eir etc ? Thanks.
Not clear at all is it.
Eir support Wi-Fi calling on bill pay. Also Gomo.
This has been standard with MNO's for years.. nothing new and most have just accepted it at this stage. Seems a very good deal all said
What's the advantage over an unlimited all calls to all networks or something like WhatsApp.
As it's for switchers from other networks seems like a campaign to win people back to the network.
I usually only use the data. Even phonecalls can be done through WhatsApp. I just need to keep an eye on my top up as as you can't rely on Three's reminder texts.
It's unlimited to any network
There's a terms and conditions which says it includes mobile and landline except usual premium, international etc.
Monthly with GOMO and cheaper, none of this 28 days bullshît, won't be joining.
Not 5G though. I would prefer An Post as it has better coverage. But the data speeds have been dire the whole time I've been on it.
Good my sister uses three in router That has landline phones connected to it so she is going from 60 minutes of calls for 20 euro to 15 unlimited.
This is what i was looking at on there site it only says unlimited minutes.Digital | Prepay Phone Plans (three.ie)
