Russian base destroyed in a missile strike in Snihurivka
Does it come with its own cart for portability?
Update: it actually does look like a real laptop. I wonder if it runs a Russian operating system where every time you open a window someone falls out of it onto the keyboard.
Bayraktar strikes again part of the offensive in the south
I like how they keep repeating they've destroyed Ukraine's air force, and then the next day claim to have shot down another couple of MiGs.
Or maybe spray you with a dose of novichok
Looks like they're taking advantage of the "breathing space" created by the Ukrainian Air Force managing to turn their MiG-29s into launch platforms for AGM-88 HARM missiles. I've only recently started following the war again but it seems to me as if Russian SAM capabilities in the south have been seriously degraded. The Bayraktars wouldn't be able to operate that unmolested otherwise.
Even worse russia has lot around 60% of tanks force, similar numbers of other vehicles, armor jets and helicopters
Meanwhile Ukraine has gained more tanks , helicopters and tanks than they had pre invasion 7 months ago.
Despite Russia having bombed every tank , armoured vehicle , artillery, jets and helicopters 10 times over
Believe so,they have somehow managed to create a limited air superiority after several attacks on Russian air defences and airfields
Considering wish.com delivery times it must have been ordered just after Christmas.
Would it not be handier to just inject an in-patient target with some sort of lethal serum or have him shake hands with Mr. Novichok? Something that would even halfway allow for plausible deniability? And if the Russian government doesn't care about plausible deniability, then why not just say, "Yeah, we killed that guy. He was a traitor and deserved to die horribly."?
It's very "Russian" historically. The rulers at the top like sending a clear message to those just below them, their boyar class, those who benefit from their rule who they expect 100% loyalty from to keep the rest in line. They tend to leave ordinary Russians alone. They're not a threat to their rule.
While completely leaving out Stalin's part in trying to carve up eastern Europe between him and the Austrian corporal before the war.
The popular YouTube blogger bald and bankrupt has been kicked out of Russia. He is a British fluent Russian speaker. He was non political in his videos and showed the ordinary human face of Russia. He used to get drunk with the roughest of Russian Gopniks( scumbags). Went to places that middle class Russians, never mind westerners, would never go. Loved to show old soviet paraphernalia, recently got daring footage of the old soviet space station In Kazakhstan.
why they would kick him out I don’t know. His videos were very positive towards Russia as a place and it’s culture. He spent a night in a prison cell and then he had to walk across a bridge into Estonia and said he would never set foot in Russia again.
They waived that right in 1953 and are now suddenly claiming it was all under duress. That the EU are requiring them to behave like a proper democratic country for EU funding of course has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Russian Telegram channel suggesting 100 Russians surrendered near Stepova Dolyna, Kherson.
For balance, a German journalist has suggested the recent offensive is a disaster.
….
And you assume the side you support must be the truth, the other side a lie?
Or simply saying no one has a clue what's really happening?
Inflatable plastic decoys I think I read somewhere recently.
Seems unlikely that a Russian Telegram channel would make up a lie about 100 of their own soldiers surrendering.
I loved Bald's videos, he really brought out the human side of Russia and many of the ex-Soviet states. His videos were always a pleasure to watch, and his daring attempt to sneak into to the Buran in the middle of the night was surprisingly gripping.
Before the war, he did do a tour of Ukraine which included many places that have since became battlegrounds in this war. Probably to the Russian's ire, he created a similarly human image of the Ukrainians, which no doubt pissed off the current administration.
I will miss his videos, he was one of those rare truly positive contributors to YouTube.
Just to be clear those "terrible videos" that Fritz would only post of screenshots are:
Ukranians firing at Russians, a Ukranian being treated for a face wound, (note he didnt choose a screen shot of the wounded guy when he was giving the thumbs up to the camera) and an abandoned Ukrainian tank having a muntion dropped on it.
I think Fritz is being very German.
There's going to be a good bit of operational silence from Ukraine for a while about the offensive, which is a good battle tactic but does give the Russians the opportunity to fill that silence with misinformation.
It's probably best to take all news of the fight, both positive and negative, with a load of salt while we wait for more verified accounts of what is happening. Could be weeks before anything concrete crops up.
I don't know how he's arriving at that conclusion. Ukraine has said nothing since Sunday and the Russians claim the advance has been beaten back. Only thing we can be fairly certain of was that a battle took place and both sides took casualties.
The German journalist photos are not from this weeks counter offensive,
They were debunked pretty much straight away
