Haven't eaten at Forge in Fenit yet but Forge Castlegregory does simply amazing pizza IMO and I can only imagine Forge in Fenit is comparable.
Just wondering is the identity of the "one punch" artist outside Hillbillys known?
Would he be known to the gardai already?
I haven't heard if he was arrested, I hope so though. I saw the video last night. A right cocky little scumbag. I hope the victim is ok?
The video is sickening. But it's clear and he should be easily identified. Laws surrounding "king hits" in other countries are very strict. Think you can be done for attempted murder or manslaughter in Australia for a punch like that due to the amount of them that happened in the past leading to deaths.
2 pints of lager in paddy macs last Saturday (festival)€10.40.When in there yesterday €10.80.What the hell is going on .I would hate to see what they charge on a busy Saturday night. Rant over.
The average price of a pint of larger in Ireland is €5.50
Prices are gone crazy in all areas
OK but if inflation in general is running at almost 10%, it can't be too surprising to see price rises of that percentage across a lot of items including lager. Its not just an individual pub trying to fleece and probably unfair to single them out when many other pubs are pricing similar...
40 pints of lager €18.85 🤣

Would anybody here have a contact for vacant units in the Tralee shopping centre in the town centre?
I think I remember that one person or company owns most of them and eventually want to try and buy up the remaining units.
Thanks.
Maybe ask the caretaker in there, John Griffin. He might be able to give you a contact who can help.
I must have walked through 20 times looking for him ha ha. I don’t think he is there as much anymore.
Will try again today.
You will find him there in the morning and late afternoon.
Or ask the bakery shop or one of the others, you'd imagine they may know
Yeah the owner of the bakery should be able to help you.
Any thoughts on Eddie O'Grady physio in Tralee? Someone close to me is suffering from severe back pain now for a couple months.
PM me if you're uncomfortable posting about it. Thanks in advance.
Just reading about that tragic fire in Killeen in 2012 that claimed the lives of a young girl and her father. Its really disturbing to know now that it was maliciously started!
It was known at the time that it was malicious. But I don't know how it took so long for arrests to be made. Very sad.
I don't know whats going on at the moment, but the crime in the county seems to have sky rocketed since the end of the pandemic. Two unsolved murders this year and that horrendous assault in the park during the last night of the festival.
Has anyone had food from Sforno in Edward st? Had a menu through the door and see they do pizza too.
Anyone seen the new performance area at the Island of Geese site/park near the garda station. They built it in a circle around the big old chimney stack. So a good size of the view of performers is blocked by the chimney, when they had loads of space to work with and still could have kept the chimney stack as a feature. Seems obvious that it's a view blocker but not to whoever designed it. Not trying to be negative....the site looks good but that seems a no brainer
I was wondering about that myself today, the chimney is right where any performance would take place. It does look well to be fair and I do like that they left part of it for wild flowers. Personally I'd have preferred to see the space being used for kids amenities like the skatepark or the proposed bike park but c'est la vie. It will take a lot of maintenance from the council to keep it looking well.
The have no seating around the place either, apart from that little performance area. They need to put a few benches in! Looks lovely from the photos I saw.
My understanding is that the performance space will be in front of the chimney, not behind it.
Some wooden benches have gone in alright. Maybe there's room for more, time will tell.
Ya I see what you mean. But with all that space performers will now be squeezed in, in front like you say. It could be far more usable if chimney was off centre
So it's official, Elverys moving into the old Dunnes. Will be good to have something brighten up that large section of street again. Now if something could be done about the abandoned shopping centre next door....
The shopping centre is owned by a company who are just sitting and waiting....for what I don't know! Probably to buy out the remaining owners, but they are really taking their time and its ridiculous now
There were a number of protesters holding up placards yesterday between Stokers and the bus/train station - going on about the World Economic Forum and a cashless society, so similar to the groups in Dublin and Cork during lockdown.
They were there a few weeks ago too!
I suppose with Covid in the rear-view mirror the have to be keeping themselves occupied.
