Help with aerial set up!? Where am I going wrong !,

I recently moved and bought a new LG nano cell tv. I’ve tried two indoor aerials and I currently have an outdoor one. But nothing is picking up any bit of reception! I’m in the glengarriff area and am at my last straw. Is there something I need? Do I need a box or ? Helpless and confused 😐

Yeah ran the search so many times. And it’s secured connected. It’s through the coaxial cable

That would look like satellite channel searching, is there an option for Digital TV or might be listed as DVB?

Yeah it there is Option a option for atenna cable or satellite but I have it connected on the aerial connector at the back of the tv. There is an option for digital search on yhe atenna setting. Should I change the connection on the lead and try it through the satellite connection

Make sure the aerial is horizontal i.e. the spikes are left to right and not up and down, point in the direction of the nearest mast and do a search

Is the aerial on the roof? It needs some kind of line of sight to the mast

Are you sure you are selecting Aerial/Antenna in the tuning parameters?

It needs to be in the air - in line with the mast (might be a phone app you can use) - depending on your location you might get some signal but walls etc are going to degrade the signal

Which mast and how far away is it?

All the transmitters using 33 + 36 H polarised are low power, Bantry/Ennistymon/Glencolumcille, so an external aerial mounted at height would be recommended.

Group A aerial recommended, what external aerial are you using now?

It must be Bantry, as they are in Glengarriff. Would Mullaghanish be a better bet?

Attic mounting might work but external mounting recommend.
