Looking forward to Dublin #2 gig, its all curtained off up in upper balcony tier. Had a spare as friend had an accident yesterday and is immobile, asked a tout, was offered a tenner, couldn’t do it. A ticket gone to waste, but am near rail at b-stage. Looks like enough sales for gig #1 sellout, but not for two gigs, this can make sense when crew & equipment are all here, and next gig on the tour is 2 days away, which is the case here.
Am also here to see Feist, very impressive the last time i saw her.
Onto EP tomorrow, better pace myself !

They looked to have a lot of standing ones when I had a gander. That's unusual for Arcade Fire, because Standing usually fly out, and late release tickets are usually mostly ones reserved for press, prizes etc that are going unused.
Seated tickets are also held back sometimes if it's not clear how many are going to sell, because you can keep seat sections cordoned off discreetly without damaging the vibe.
Unsold Standing is a lot more visible - so if there's a lot of those, they will sometimes leave the access from Seats to Standing open from early, so folks from seating can "sneak" in and bulk out the crowd.
He needs to come on stage tonight and address the issue. He was way out of order. He needs to make a commitment to putting things right for his victims by acknowledging their grievances and supporting them. He should explain a way forward that dosent dismiss these victims and acknowledge his failure to understand consent.

The free seated tickes were all situated at the side blocks so probably a crap view, maybe thats why they were free?? I tried to get one anyways but it said unavailable

Ah come on. They give them away via competitions and stuff, and even them they're usually seated. It is extremely unusual to just have free all-comer standing tickets on Ticketmaster itself like that. It's unusual for Arcade Fire to have this many tickets up at *all* at this stage, few months ago these were just shy of a hundred quid a pop.
His statement was so tone deaf given they had a crisis management firm cued up, I wonder if he took the gist of the advice - "spend a load of time copping to the not so bad stuff so people will only talk about that" - without actually letting them do a pass of it. I really don't see a PR person leaving that google thing in.

Yup, I got two complimentary tickets from ticketmaster earlier (around 2pm). Went back to full price soon after, so perhaps they were just creating a buzz?
