I’ve seen Arcade Fire many times, never been to 3 Arena, but have heard good things.
Can anyone comment on bar? Do they sell Prosecco?
Trying to figure out what to drink beforehand (am too old to mix!) and pints not a great option at a gig.

Yup, I got two complimentary tickets from ticketmaster earlier (around 2pm). Went back to full price soon after, so perhaps they were just creating a buzz?
I thought that was only when the venue would be virtually empty?? I seen it before with talking tours, tickets given away but that's cos woudn't be a sinner in it anyway!

What is at issue here is a moral assessment, not a criminal one. Some people see no distinction and fine, that's their opinion, but they must not ignore that distinction in what they say about the situation. How would you like to be casually slandered?

Ah come on. They give them away via competitions and stuff, and even them they're usually seated. It is extremely unusual to just have free all-comer standing tickets on Ticketmaster itself like that. It's unusual for Arcade Fire to have this many tickets up at *all* at this stage, few months ago these were just shy of a hundred quid a pop.

I have a serious issue with allegations made first to a commercial publication long after the fact, rather than to law enforcement.

I notice Butler choose to respond to this stuff with a statement rather than a settlement, Prince Andrew style. Says a lot about what his own lawyers think is the actuality of these stories.
The free seated tickes were all situated at the side blocks so probably a crap view, maybe thats why they were free?? I tried to get one anyways but it said unavailable
Jaysus, we're playing all the hits today alright. Arcade Fire's setlist won't have as many classics.
He needs to come on stage tonight and address the issue. He was way out of order. He needs to make a commitment to putting things right for his victims by acknowledging their grievances and supporting them. He should explain a way forward that dosent dismiss these victims and acknowledge his failure to understand consent.
They looked to have a lot of standing ones when I had a gander. That's unusual for Arcade Fire, because Standing usually fly out, and late release tickets are usually mostly ones reserved for press, prizes etc that are going unused.
Seated tickets are also held back sometimes if it's not clear how many are going to sell, because you can keep seat sections cordoned off discreetly without damaging the vibe.
Unsold Standing is a lot more visible - so if there's a lot of those, they will sometimes leave the access from Seats to Standing open from early, so folks from seating can "sneak" in and bulk out the crowd.
