Nope, completely impossible
Hi Folks,
Got that free sports for a month stick from HN this week.. can i add that sports for €9.99 a month offer to the account now??
Power City, Harvey Norman and DID have got fresh stock in of the Sports Now sticks.
I'll probably sub to movies at Christmas for a month, but I don't feel there is a need to have an active subscription year round for it.
My family used to have Sky Cinema active all year round and it was wasted money.
Cancelled cinema and entertainment and was offered €5.99 a month for 3 months for each package but for €11 a month I can just get iptv as a back up instead
Brilliant thank you 🙏
Went to cancel Movies yesterday as was within 1 month of current deal ending, got offered 3 months at €5.99 a month, not really bothered with it to be honest, but would be nice to have over Christmas as they buy up a lot of the greats. The Now sticks are €10 for 2 months voucher, another option.
It'd been a while.
Any codes for Movies knocking about.
Europa league yes not sure about Heineken cup but it has been always on BT sports if I recall.
From their Website....
BT Sport will remain the home of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League until 2027
and
BT Sport is the only place to watch live Premiership Rugby, Champions Cup, Challenge Cup and much more.
Great stuff, cheers.
Tempted with this, can anyone confirm that sports extra would have me covered for europa league and also urc/Heineken cups please?
Amazing, thank you. Sorted until March.
Join the home of the Premier League with a €9.99 per month for 6 months Sports Extra Membership (usually €33.99 per month).

I watched the second episode on nowtv yesterday but not live and you get the game of thrones screenshot a few times throughout the episode for a second where you’d usually get ads then it goes back to the program. I love nowtv for it’s price and lack of contract and think it’s a handy option to have but only when it’s on a special offer, at the normal price you’d be better off with sky itself imo
Sorry I should have clarified, I was only talking about watching box sets not live tv. E.g. last night we watched the new episode of House of the Dragon and that had a few ad breaks in it but only 1-2 ads at a time. I don't really watch live tv on the NOW stick so someone else might be able to fill us in on that one :)
Watched the Grand Prix and Premier league over the weekend - the ads are the normal live tv ads - i.e half time etc - not breaking the flow
So it’s the same as if you subscribed to normal sky tv via satellite as I presume they still show ads on live tv?
No they are in what would have been the ad slots when the show was aired on tv except it's 1-2 ads, not the full 5 minutes you're subjected to on live tv.
They announced the ads at the same time as the cut in standard prices for entertainment and cinema. So the cinema and entertainment went down to €12 and the boost went up to €5.
For somebody who had both entertainment and cinema at the standard prices (whoever they are - I've never met them) is now paying €29 instead of €30 for the same service
As far as I know the live (linear) tv is not affected by the ads. If somebody could confirm that would be great
I use now tv at the moment for entertainment and cinema packs with boost and there is zero ads, for a few euro it’s well worth the extra especially if you can find someone to share it and pay half the bill
I presume the ad would be at the start of you turning on the service? Like YouTube or online podcasts/radio.
I can’t see ads ever appearing literally while a game is being played! Don’t think even Sky are that stupid
If they do that it will be time for alternative IPTV. Don't alienate your user base Sky
I hope the ads don't show up unexpectedly during live sport
I think you need to have boost now to avoid the ads.
I think I read earlier in the thread that Netflix are introducing something similar.
No I never really paid attention to Boost as I can't watch in surround sound, it's only me using it, and i'm lucky if I get any definition, never mind high def with my internet being so bad..
I just obviously missed where they were adding ads to the standard packages.. Ugh!
Have you boost?
Just got an unskippable ad there for the first time on Now, and didn't know what to do with myself, it's so long since I've seen an ad while watching TV
Not a fan to say the least, so I think I'll finish up with Now after this month is up.
Anyone had them in movies? Or is it just series?
