take a wild guess who put 200 million into Germany’s “Climate Foundation” which they used it to fund elections and get politicians elected
Biden suggested the idea of a long war several months ago. The big question though is what this would mean for Putin. I don't there is any hope of the western coalition breaking up (despite the fervent wishes of the Putin bots), not with the existential threat Russia poses to the West. Even if he survives as leader, his country is going to be in an awful mess within a couple of years.
Once again US spent 2260 Billion in Afghanistan alone over 20 years through various administrations including Trump
Their spend on Ukraine in 6 months is about 50 billion, they seized 6x this from Russians in February alone for context
Speaking of news, ontop of the further 6x NASAMS (same system that defends Washington DC) with the 3 billion package couple of days ago, this just came out
The rockets ( AIM-120 AMRAMM ) are 1.2m a shot but are ridiculously good at shooting down planes, helicopters, cruise missiles and drones, these will come via lend lease loans which Ukraine probably won’t pay till next century while creating jobs in US (which no republicans would want go near)
One NASAMS platoon (3 launchers) was 23 million, so potentially another 25-30 launchers each with a 30km-50km defensive radius for all they key cities and facilities freeing up old Soviet systems for elsewhere
That’s stupid talk tge very purpose of being in NATO is the attack one attack all clause 🙄
That would be a war crime.
Which paragraph? You do realise depleted uranium rounds and armour are a thing right??
A couple of months back the Ukr. head of intelligence said the war would turn in Ukraine's favor in mid August. Seems he was not far off the mark.
???

The only course of action to remove the Russians from the nuclear plant is for the EU, US and all other Ukraine friendly nations to agree the strictest level of sanctions possible and a deadline for Russia to remove their troops and machinery up to 5km back from the plant. If they don't do it by the deadline, then implement the sanctions. Then come up with more sanctions and another deadline. Eventually there will be a tipping point and they will leave. Any harm comes to the plant then the sanctions will be implemented also. Warn Ukraine to stay well clear of the plant.
More news.
Yes it could well be a long winter but somehow or other I think a winter that will be more demoralising to Russian backed troops than the Ukrainian forces.
Currently the Russian advance has stalled, or is making tiny gains if any. Defenders generally have the advantage for lots of reasons, number one being they're fighting for their land. Russia needs a lot more troops to overwhelm the defenders. As it stands they're using what they have a lot of, stockpiled "dumb" artillery which is very effective, but against increasing use of "smart" weapons by Ukraine and more coming and more training coming too will blunt what advantage Russia has. Economics is the other force and again Ukraine has legs here. The "West" is supporting them with cash and lots of it and no sign of that going away anytime soon. Russia is in a more precarious position. It's not like the old days of the USSR where it was a near totally self sufficent command economy across more countries and more people. Today their military kit, or a lot of it, especially the modern kit is reliant on non Russian parts to operate and be built in the first place.
The key to making Russia fold is to get the old matriarchal crones to flail about in despair at home. I noticed that most of the loot early on from Ukraine was for women. This shows that the boys are out there without a clue and only want to keep their harpies at home happy at the very least. Take away the few comforts these oul bitches have and they'll make life so unbearable for the male drones the whole rotten carcass will explode
The reason people bang on about is because NATO leaders are sane, and the Russian leadership is insane.
They have him exactly where they want him, thrashing himself against the rocks, unable to strike out at his true enemies. It's literally game set match for Biden.
One reason the Russian media bangs on about nuclear is to drum up support for the war. Those ranting maniacs on Russian tv hardly believe a word they are saying. Even people like Lavrov probably doesn't believe a word he is saying and might long for the day when Putin drops dead. But the poor fellow is in a trap and has to push the party line. Likewise with a lot of them.
I feel sorry for all the kidnapped children babies in Russia
There is a certain irony here: Putin ultimately only came to power because the US created the possibility for him to do so. Ronald Raygun bankrupted the USSR with the starwars program, taking the cold war to space and the exponential increase in expenditure that required. Yes the USSR was already tetering, but this was the final straw.
Gorbachev, Yeltsin and Putin were all involved in the collapse and transition to post Soviet. He's walked right into it, another financial war with the US. A war he and his proto USSR mk II will lose just as surely as the first - one billion at a time.
Hopefully the US won't be so magnanamous this time.
I hope the “why don’t Ukrainian just give up” brigade read the above
Air defense is active near Sevastopol
Russia(mafia) wants to maintain it's serfdom at any cost. A plan is already in motion by the USA but no operational name given yet. over half a million children have been kidnapped by russia. it's a real living hell for a million parents. the russian mafia needs to be hunted down and put up on trial like Nuremberg. I find this all very upsetting I just can't imagine how the poor kids and parents feel.
I hoping when the war is over, Ukraine will be able to bring key members of Russia to justice, like Israel did with Nazi's who escaped justice.
This is a country already with 650000 orphans as it is, who are kept in orphanages not fit for animals never mind kids
The poster was talking about putting nuclear waste into a missle and launching at a civilian area.
If not more.....when a small ( very small) group of people extract 75 or 80% of the Country's wealth, the services are extremely basic, especially in areas which do not have much of a voice. And Orphanages are not very high on the list of priorities. That does not mean that there are not dedicated people working in them, because there is, many in fact, but financially they are not well supported by the state. And so conditions are pretty dire, to put it mildly. So yes not fit for animals, let alone kids.
Yeah I wager The Ukraine brokered in good faith with a bad faith actor. Do they still have any old reactors that are also for producing enriched uranium ? I know the new ones are for power only. Main reason they had a nuclear accident was due to its dual use.
No the trigger is not automatically pulled NATO would consider it but in relation to said country asking for the trigger pull. That's my understanding of it.
I imagine it'll be more like what the Israelis did to the organisers of the Munich attack.
But I don't see Russia being invaded and taken over by any external force. It's going to be down to assassination, coup, new regime and possibly that new regime playing nicely with the west. Otherwise Russia is just going to remain a closed shop like it was for much of the 20th century. Maybe they reintegrate with the civilised world again around 2090 based on previous timelines.
Can't see any foreign justice being able to be brought against anyone in Russia, unless a new regime hands people over in order for a reduction in their time as an isolated country.
