New regulations new season....
Can redbull keep up the pace
Funny how Ricciardo might find himself in a much more competitive car next season if he gets the Alpine seat, hard to argue they are not best of the rest from the big 3.
Agree, I had the Motorsport Manager game with mods for each season, and this doesn't seem a whole lot different. Lots of decisions to make, much of which seem inconsequential. Seems to be well dressed with cool graphics compared to MM but not a lot of substance. I'm not sure what I expected but I was definitely disappointed and can't see myself playing much of it.
Back to Assetoo Corsa I guess, not cut out for management
Ricciardo looks broken, it's stressful for drivers when it's not working out.
Hmm not sure. I think you could buy it a couple of days prior to the official release on steam and get a discount. I actually bought it last night for 35 euro on cdkeys.
Hopefully better than f1 clash anyway.
Belgium WILL be on the calendar next year.
Isn't it officially released already?
That's a pity, I had it on a list of things get next pay day.
Do you think that when it officially releases they will patch it to fix up some of these issues?
I was reading that certain things like tyre wear or even the type of tyres you use don't actually make that big of a difference.
I'm finding it pretty disappointing so far.
Four races done, during which there have been zero retirements, zero safety cars, zero VSCs, zero weather changes and therefore zero things for me to react to and create interesting strategy decisions. The car's performance hasn't varied from track to track either. I'm McLaren and I've pretty much qualified and raced in the same positions in every race.
You can tweak the strategy a bit, ask the drivers to push or save tyres, but for me nothing has felt like it has had much consequence. E.g. you could pull the car in early and then tell them to push like crazy for an undercut, but actually DRS overtakes seem so trivially easy in the game that track position barely matters so it feels like you're better off just sticking to the optimal strategy for overall race time that you preselected before the race.
Outside of races the car development stuff seems ok, but a little insubstantial. Races take so long (and are so boring so far) that I'm not sure I'm going to make it to a second season to see research or new hires come to fruition. I'm still plugging away though in the hope it clicks. I've always wanted a good F1 management game, they've held so much promise going all the way back to the old Microprose ones but there's never been one that really gets it all right.
Anyone got f1 manager?

I don't really know tbh, it's apparently been there since their karting days. They're both French and born in '96 so I imagine they saw a lot of each other. I know that Gasly came out last year or the year before and said something along the lines of "we're not friends" when asked about Ocon.
Otmar said there is no July 31st deadline, he is contracted to 2023 with 2024 option
What's the beef between Gasly and Ocon?
A lot of people seemed fairly certain today that the contracts board are going to rule in Alpine's favour with the whole Piastri ordeal. Now, whether he actually races for them even if Alpine win is another matter..
I'd be surprised if Alpine went after Gasly considering his relationship with Ocon. I heard a rumour that they're interested in Schumacher but only heard it from the one source and nothing since.
Riccardo to Alfa Tauri, you heard it here first!
.......
I'm all for more manufacturers, but we need more teams too. Just 10 isn't enough...
Just need BMW and Toyota to come back to F1 now.
🤐
In this case, I think it was Hamilton's decision due to his branding/etc.
So you're saying George is the number 1 driver 😀
That was the 2019 German Grand Prix from recollection. That was a crazy race.
Absolutely agree! Also, hope another German manufacturer and a bit of progress from Mick might make it more financially viable to have an annual German GP
Anything that attracts new PU suppliers is to be celebrated imo. With so few of them on the grid, it really restricts the amount of teams that could really push to the top.
I think the team it probably hurts most is McLaren? An Audi team with their own PU development could leapfrog them pretty quickly.
Yellow camera at the top of the car is a giveaway. Most teams have their nominal first driver with a black camera and second driver is yellow (so Max is black, Checo is yellow; LeClerc is black, Sainz is yellow). Mercedes are the opposite though - Lewis is Yellow, George is Black.
But I'd agree, bigger numbers (like NASCAR, but not as huge) would be good...
Finally confirmed -Audi joining as a supplier in 2026

Yeah I agree. The Mercedes solution is clear and a nice retro touch. I like it.
It'd be great having more visible numbers on the cars tbf. Still have to wait for the commentator to distinguish between teammates most of the time!
Just what they need to make there car more competitive lol new style numbers.
Could this be the last F1 GP at Spa? I certainly hope not.
Why not? More the merrier as far as I'm concerned. Worst case scenario is that we have 2 uncompetitive cars on the grid, but sure so what. It was normal to have a heap of ****-boxes at the back of the grid when I started watching in the 90s. Plenty of drivers got their break in them. Even recently, Russell managed to prove himself in a horribly uncompetitive Williams.
Michael Andretti. Would you like to see him enter a team in F1? I would.
