I’d love to know how much € we all put in each week/month.
Ford Fiesta 1L petrol: €20 every two weeks
i drive about 10k a year
please list your car and engine size petrol or diesel!
2.2 Accord, €100-120 / week
5.5 litres of petrol to do 192 km?
Isn't that about 2.8l/100km?
You're wrong on some level there
I fill the tank with €50 on the 1st day of every month that way fuels prices make no difference to me as it is always €50
They might live on the top of a steep hill, only need the power on the way back home 😁
Sorry guys I meant to say €70 every 10 or so days!!
I only do about 10k a year too, €20 would have done on an average week, just about, until the price went buck ape, it’s €25/30, put €25 in this morning at €1.79.9/L, should get me to next Saturday unless I have unexpected trip(s), Honda Civic 1.4
3 litre Audi A6 around €50 a month
1.3 Toyota Corolla around €40 a week
My first car was a 1998 1.4 EK Civic. Back in 2001 €10 got me 70 miles!
About 70-80 quid every two weeks if I'm only driving to work. Get about 650kms in the fiesta, ish.
Depending were I'm going if I know road apple juice around 40 if I'm going somewhere different around 80 of white wine
I was about a full 65 litre tank every 2 weeks which used to be about 75 to 80 euro but went to 130+ euro recently.
Sold car recently got great price for it waiting on electric car which is meant to be coming in next few weeks but currently without a car using a few spare vans from work when I need them and taxis
Driving electric here, Volkswagen ID.4 with a 77kWh battery. I put 174kWh in last month for a cost of just under €20
Currently using about 17kWh/100km so that is about 1000km a month of driving range.
I do about 12,000km per year, so I expect my electric consumption will go up in winter by around 20%
I know the OP was asking about fuel costs but I thought having an EV example would be useful for comparison
X5, to fill is about 150-180 euro
Trying to use the electric all the time so maybe get 2-3 weeks out of it
Would have two electrics if they had a decent 7 seater
Imagine I done 26k km one year in electric car and it cost me the grand total of about 300 euro in electricity. That was night rate at 0.06 or something like thta
Do the same now and it would be closer to 1k but still a hell of a lot less than the x5 which does 800km to a fill
Commute an average of about 470km per week.
1450cc harley takes about €50
1.0 polo about €55/€60
Leaf uses a big fat €0, free to charge in work.
Guess which one gets used the most.
The Harley ofcourse!
2 litre diesel avensis commute around 220 km a week fill every 2 weeks around 70 euro.
Yeah there's some big jumps in electricity prices coming, driving electric got more expensive
Still a lot cheaper than petrol for the moment
How do you know someone has an electric vehicle?
They will make sure they tell you.
Last week I put so much petrol in my car that I couldn't get in.
Its a discussion about fuel prices
Most people who own an electric also own a combustion car.
At the end of the day electric is just another fuel type. The “diesel till I die” crowd are a lot worse 🤦♂️
Yeah he asked how much petrol or diesel people use.
Electric vehicle owners will jump in with some hard to decipher formula that most normal driving people have no idea what they're on about like above in a not so subtle superiority complex.
I've no qualms with electric cars the running costs are fantastic I'm sure but the smugness of their owners is insufferable on here.
Did you just get the job? Reason I ask is you are deciding to cycle to work just now at the end of summer coming into autumn.
If it’s not the Harley, you should be banned 🤣🤣
You said you are going cycling to work just now. I said, just now at the end of summer coming in to Autumn(winter is coming).
So in other words you were driving to work all summer according to you and now summer is over you decide to cycle to work. Makes sense Einstein.
Lol,
Not as much as I'd like unfortunately!
Even back in 2010 I got 90 miles for a tenner from my 98 1.0 Corsa!
I still work from home 4 out of 5 days now. The one day at office is usually carpooling, taking it in turns to drive with two colleagues.
So filling from near empty (60L) tank every 3 weeks or so. 2013 VW Touran 1.2 TSI
Hard to decipher?
ltr/100km
kWh/100km
Whats hard to decipher?
As I said I have an x5 which drink diesels and an electric. Not sure why you feel slighted.
