You said the properties are already available and empty. Then you have no idea what or where they are
Our biggest issue at the moment is housing blocked by political parties. Stop that and you will massively help with housing. So email all the TDs you support and tell them to stop
Maybe start with the party you support. I doubt a party you don’t support will be too worried if you say you are moving your vote
So are you going to email them? Or you going to come up with some more excuses?
Beautiful 🤪😁😁😁
They tend to be regarding not fit for the needs, leases that are bad deals and so on, (I'd only email them to say keep up the good work). Except for FF/FG/Green, who block them over the property values of their constituents. You know all this.
Ouch BA that's Harsh considering you know well I voted independent, I'm hurt 😭
Thanks for confirming
“imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,”
👍
You asked a question and I answered. You mean 'thanks for answering'.
The next round of brinkmanship and shaft the junior coalition party is going well.
The greens will have to back down over LNG, their position has become untenable, they'll likely be happy with Varadkar taking any flak about it so they have a boogeyman to blame.
Gas Man Leo, hope there'll be no "****" so to speak, Boom Boom 😁
Puts Eamon Ryan's intervention in Troy Story into some perspective. Varadkar is an amateur compared to the Greens. The Greens learned from being in government with FF after 2007. Varadkar still seems to be learning and not very well. His strong support for Troy without knowing the full story made him and FG look stupid. At least with Martin, he was defending an FFer in a typical FF fashion.

The Greens will probably want a no-fracked gas concession that prohibits it being used for gas extracted by fracking put permits normally extracted gas.
Person wanting to spend millions on a new company in ireland meets Current Minister for Enterprise, Trade and EmploymenT
Next week Minister for Justice meets with legal professions in ireland in the next shocking instalment of
“Government TDs doing their job”
If Leo didn’t meet with them it would be a story, plus from what I remember Leo has already said fracked gas is a non runner. Isn’t that what the Greens have said?
I missed Playback this morning. I'd say it was a hoot with the boy Troy up to no good. Did anyone catch it?
I dobut it, if they can't see it, it didn't happen (as we import all those lovely nuclear generated electrons).
The Greens have an ideology and that's going to cause problems for FF and FG. With FF and FG it is a relatively simple matter of buying them off. With the Greens, it is not that simple. Look at the way that Ryan and the Greens pursued the Turf issue despite FF/FG backbenchers objecting. The no fracked gas concession may be the minimum that the Greens want. It might be too much if they want a Green TD to replace Troy. :)
The government are hardly so naive as to take corporations, particularly fossil fuel ones at face value
Sure, they'll simply lie,and say it's gauranteed non-fracked and then everyone will shrug shoulders when inevitable happens,it's not as if this type carryon hasn't been going on here the entirety of my life
Time for greens to walk I'd say....between this, the belview cheese plant, miles of piping to put sludge into river boyne along side several other scams,
they are simply letting environmental concerns be pissed over in place of dubious carbon reduction targets.....what's point in saving the planet,if country is so polluted,ya can't live in it
The Greens need to be seen to win for the sake of their voters and for them to continue in government. Of all the parties in government, they appear to be the most ruthlessly cynical of the lot because they understand that they have to be in government to get their policies implemented. Some of the water melon Greens (Green on the outside but Labour on the inside) didn't understand that and that's why some of them left to form the Green Left party. The Greens need the concession even it it doesn't work out in reality. It is the perception that they are doing something that matters.
Very paranoid and revealing there BA.
Where did I say anything was sinister about him having meetings?
Thats a nice spin you have there for sure but the comment was about Ryan being against it and varadkar having a meeting on the quiet. I think your bile should be aimed at the Greens. **** the environment sure.
Yeh, bits of it. His car-crash interview (that more or less confirmed he was a goner) extensively used.
Not necessarily, we may well be doing as much as possible already and there are other reasons.
One long-time concern of mine has been the amount of money poured into the homeless charity industry with little or no results. Without the homeless, the well-paid CEOs of organisations like Focus, the Simon Community and Peter McVerry trust would be out of jobs. Perpetuating the homeless would appear to be in their interest which is why I am always looking for a close look at them.
Secondly, there is the likes of the guy a few years ago who was a cause celebre for the opposition when he died on the streets, but it turned out he had inherited a house and lost it, as well as another one he had bought himself. Some people will end up struggling no matter how much they are helped. That is really sad, but society can't save everyone.
Fairly easy to sort issue of money being poured into homeless charities.....run the country properly and state provide the houses, instead of privitising so much essentially services to avoid any political accountability and enabling funnelling of state money to private/charity sector, noone in a state funded charity (or government),should get more than average industrial wage
Legalised theft is ultimately corruption
Hugely important that the Greens stay in government. The opposition parties are so bad on environmental issues.
Things still not good in the Greens it seems, harassment, personal abuse, bullying and misogyny. Why we have to pay to investigate seems odd. Funny we haven't heard the other coalition leaders comment on this long running issue.
You have it arse backwards Blanch.
You think the homeless charities, (that you were all over during Covid when they reported lower homeless numbers) who exist because of the record breaking housing crisis created and worsened by FF/FG housing policy are a problem but ignore the FF/FG creators and maintainers of the crisis. We know it is in numerous FF/FG ministers interests that the housing/homeless crises continue.
Using the death of a man a few years ago to say 'member that time that homeless fella died but he wasn't homeless fnarr fnarr' for a dig is pretty low. You'll not mention the actual homeless deaths, and if you do you'll go after their character. Stay classy.
What's the point, they do anything for environmental or ecological issues.....how is allowing government parties platform the belview cheese factory, and dawn meats run a pipe line for miles through countryside to dump sludge into a river good for environment??
These are issues green policies can make a difference on,this pricking about at carbon targets while USA (actively issuing fracking licenses now),China etc not committed is well meaning, but pointless
Well said and good memory 👏
Sad news filtering through that there has been another death in the homeless sector 🙏
Certain quarters will be feverishly googling his/her background to see if they can find any dirt.
