Yeah, he was excellent. The whole orange metaphor bit was brilliant. I'm surprised he hasn't gone into coaching, he's analysis is, superb . He'd be excellent on Monday Night Football.
Yeah, love the detail
Damien Delaney is absolutely brilliant when he's allowed go in depth about tactics. Would rather listen to that than punditry by numbers all day.
loved damien delaney's tactical analysis, it made a lot of sense. fully agree that the game's changed and 1 cog misfiring or not doing their bit affects everything
It was done because the lads had a live show the next day and had nothing in the bag to do for the next day.
Great episode today.
Eoin's skills as a top notch host really shined.
I think I listened back to Ken's impersonation of Trump holding the Saudi glowing orb.... "whuuuagh" about 6 times now.
Whuuuaagh?!
It was very good, but I dont know how many matches a season would be worthy of it? This was a particularly big match given the start both clubs have had and was great to listen to it.
Having a podcast directly after a match is great. I hope its not a one off because of the live show.
Unfortunately. All the money they're making you'd expect someone decent.
This might seem petty but Ken's bit about Gerrard's comments on Buendia were out of context, Gérrard actually went onto praise Buendia after his initial comment about Bailey playing well as a sub
Looks like Miguel is their main football correspondent these days. Seems to be on most weeks
Just listened to the latest Second Captains Saturday, Murph and Eoin giggling like teenage girls for the whole interview.
I wouldn't mind if maybe Fiona Shaw was cracking wise but she wasn't that witty.
Even when she was making serious points, the 2 lads kept misreading the conversation and would break into laughter.
That was a big drop in form after Mick Lynch last week.
They explained at the end that they could only get an interview with Alina Shaternkova later than they'd like to so Pod was late out.
You'd think you'd try to get finished early on a Friday.
6:15pm on a Friday... jaysus.
What's the deal with the episodes lately particularly on Friday they always seem to be late. It's messing with my commute 🤣
There it is
No sign of today's episode
Today was superb. The references to the watch scene from Pulp Fiction were properly funny. Worth the 5 euro (plus Vat) by themselves
I remember Ken going on a bizarre rant about Rafa Benitez's adrenal glands, wish some of those 2006 to 2013 shows were available to listen to somewhere online.
Yes. Really enjoyed today, a great laugh.
Was that the time he said (it wasn't, but any excuse to mention) that we'd all accept global warming if Pardew's house got flooded first?
That's what I'm paying for.
They were giddy at times today. Being able to talk over each other and interrupt naturally is much easier to listen to than skype polite awkwardness.
I remember hearing them for the first time back in 06 on Newstalk. I'd just turned on the radio and some lad - Ken - was going through a complex and laughably overwrought analogy between a polar bear struggling to survive as the ice caps melted and some facet of the latest in the football of the day.
These guys are great, I thought.
Are you comfortable with your sexuality?
It was absolute nonsense but that's one of the best things about the podcast.
It's not an image that would enter my mind thankfully.
I enjoy it. Listening to it a long time. Soccer and GAA would be my interests so Oisin McConville and Paul Flynn and Miguel Delaney, Dion Fanning and Jonathon Wilson are all very good. So are the three hosts. Just found that spiel by Ken to be nonsense on Monday.
The film was "Women In Love". Alan Bates was the other wrestler. Oliver Reed had the bigger mickey. I imagine Conte's is considerably bigger than Tuchel's.
Doesn't sound like the show is for you.
