That is simply not the case. Any country being invaded by its larger neighbour in 2022 would be a huge international news story. This wasn't some minor border incursion, but a full scale invasion designed to topple the country being attacked.
You're right too Ted, the media should be giving more attention to cake sales and bike theft.
Thats what happens when another country invades it's neighbor.
Not dissimilar to the old Ottoman empire.

Putin can't get the Russians to have enough children so he has to steal them from other countries.
Nekulturny.
Happy independence day Ukraine ,how cool is this from brickmainia
Im sure if Russia was in an a war of existential crisis it could summon and mobilise a million plus soldiers and many more millions in last ditch home defence like it did during world war 2 but we are a million miles from that( to keep the millions theme going). During the Vietnam war the Americans were deeply affected by the ominous draft to the point where they effectively gave up. It wasn’t an existential war for them either. Russia is in or near that situation now. No one from the more gentrified parts is rushing to the front and they won’t at any stage as long as Ukraine don’t threaten the homeland. This is the problem for Russia. The options for escalation are limited and potentially deadly for the regime. The thing is though Putin has tremendous patience he has played this game for 22 long years and is completely callous to any suffering he causes to anywhere and anyone but himself. He won’t budge one inch from his objective no matter how long it takes. As one commentator put it ,He is pragmatic and pliable about the means but extremely rigid about the outcome.
Thats epic. Is that Zelensky at the end in Military garb has stubble.
Its enough to face Russian contracted conscripts or prisoners with 1 months training
1/10
Try harder
As the war drags on the cases of ‘with regret’ Russian bone spurs case diagnosis will become all too common. It being an affliction of the wealthy classes… “oh, the humanity!’
Happy Independence day Ukraine.
i did not know that there is no sexual exploitation of children inrussia!!!!!!!
The problem with brickmania is their price. I’m not paying $200 for a Lego tank, no matter how much it looks like a Panzer IV
tThe problem with Brickmania is that they are not for the casual purchaser. I’m not paying $200 for a Panzer IV, no matter
So ,, in effect, what you are essentially saying is ‘ keep the invasion very quiet, say nothing about it so that Putin can work away with his strategy of destablisation, creating division, invasions , etc, etc, etc
A new report on the Russian economy and the conclusions are pretty poor for them.
It a case of burn everything Russian except there oil and gas
I decide to add this to my previous post. From a theoretical viewpoint, if a group of anti-Putin operators in the kremlin had advanced plans to topple the russian president and if Putin got wind of it he could very covertly say this, if anyone dares challenge me they will suffer and their families will suffer more. By hitting a big-name target at no cost, he puts the frighteners on anyone who gets ideas for replacing him. Even if he were removed he has his own security force unit that would seek out people indefinitely. That would keep a lot of people quiet!
I believe that there is a Chinese alternative to brickmainia, one of my local retailers has a legoish S300 and a gunship of some variety in it's windows
This is hilarious stuff. You are their giving out about people believing western propaganda when you have completely swallowed Russian propaganda yourself, so much so that you actually believe this nonsense that Russia never actually tried to take Kiev.
If this is the level of critical thinking people with views like you have, then its easy to see how so many people fall for this Kremlin propaganda b******t in the west.
Aye
For them reality and truth are malleable and not absolute. They have a blood-and-iron mentality, just like the nazis. And yes, in a primitive way that is impressive and that is what impresses the Russian psyche. When they have nothing else to believe in they believe in force and conquest and 'novo Russia'.
Who are you trying to convince... us... or yourself 😉
Pfffft YALE, who dim boys, eh?
😀
Things are going so bad for Russia/Putin I'd expect Putin to make a threat along the lines of, "Trade with us or there will be severe consequences up to and including nuclear attacks" - basically going full...
One month's training??? Like what they did in Syria, picked up today, issued uniform tomorrow, into action the day after. That's how bad the manpower situation is with them. Soldiers whose contracts expired months ago, are not allowed to leave, And the ones who do manage to get home in one piece, will not willingly return to military service. Not only that, but the stories they are telling about all the lies and ill-treatment they received in Ukraine is stopping many from joining up. Keeping the lid on what's happening in Ukraine was possible only for a limited time, and that time has long expired. Easy to see why Putin is scouring the world for cannon fodder.
They have stolen children from Ukraine, they really are sick bastards.
One would hope that even if a ceasefire is agreed later this year, the sanctions are never dropped until those children are returned.
Russia truly is a monstrous state, everything possible needs to be done to lessen its influence.
Agreed, really well done. I assume that's Lego Zelensky at the end. If so I feel they should have kept him with normal hair and his now trademark army t-shirt. Then there'd be no doubt.
On that line of thinking; I wonder if Zelensky, after possibly winning / ending the war, would ever go back to wearing traditional Presidential garb. Suits and the like. That's assuming the war even ends on his watch...
Since he came to power 20 odd years ago, he has been doing this. His reign is resting on a mountain of bodies, beginning with the Moscow apartment bombings, which killed hundreds of ordinary Moscow citizens. He has no need to kill Dugina to reinforce his methodology....something else is going on.
Just 2 more weeks.
I told you my sources, American professors of international policy. None are Russian. None of its propoganda its from US university faculties. It’s called Realism. I have yet to hear a reason why Russia couldn’t and wouldn’t flatten Kiev with a barrage of missiles if they wanted to. It’s a simple question, the answer to which is the mighty Ukraine warriors drove them back. It’s nonsensical rubbish. If you understood the last 20 years in Ukraine you’d understand WHY they don’t want Kiev. But the man on the telly doesn’t go back that far so you’re screwed.
I know it’s hard to conceive our own would dupe us, but they’ve very much succeeded. Ignorance is bliss as they say, keep listening to the telly, west goodies, Russians baddies 👍😂.
I love these comments. What the poster said is basic but factually true, and that’s the best reply you can come up with for a few likes because you haven’t a clue what they’re referring to. Try. Not harder. Just try.
