What was the tendering process involved in aramark providing food to ukrainine refugees🤪
from recollection the leader of the opposition and supposed to be Taoiseach in waiting is suing RTE, the national broadcaster to keep them quiet, or am I wrong?
Yes we should let them starve while we run the tender process.
Not sure why people are struggling with the concept of a war and an emergency 🆘
Yes, you are wrong.
Internet says Im right :-)
Onwards and upwards 🤩
A familiar process here:
Where does the internet say you are right?
Surely what you meant was - some people (of doubtless like mind and selective outrage as yourself) on the internet agree with you.
She's suing because an RTE broadcaster made claims against her. Reality disagrees with you once again.
I thought the Internet wasn't real 🤔 😁
Only when it suits Dempo. Pay attention!😁
Who said that? a bit of an odd claim based on the fact boards is on the internet
But if you can quote the poster who claimed it then we can discuss in greater details
Thanks
Silly me, so to speak 😁
O, you'll have to scroll back a little BA, not you, I might add 😉
The "leaked documents" issue was done to death in another, now closed thread
I realise some posters are attempting to bait others with references to it again. Just drop it if you wish to continue posting in this thread
Any questions PM me - do not respond to this warning in-thread
So, you want people to starve.
Nice!
Turkeys voting for xmas comes to mind. Will never happen I wager it the same with anything to do with TD's. I have noticed since I came to Ireland. Ireland does not do Regulation. I mean a central bank that just let a bank go bang how does that even happen. I mean it's not like it was one guy like in that barings bank. Seems it was endemic not that anyone got any serious sanction.
People on the dole have to buy their own food. Should not be to hard to buy your own takeaway.
It is a good thing that banks don’t fail in other countries.
Ones that can take out the entire economy and the country need a bailout size. Did not think I had to include that.
Nail on head, I was just going to share something similar
👍
Maybe you can explain what you are talking about? Why are you talking about people on social welfare when the discussion was about refugees
Just like before the French Revolution: Let them eat cake!
So, you would rather people starve than get the state to help them.
OK
Because they are on social welfare. Or is that a lie now. You can post tiny banks going pop all you like. I think everyone knew the context of what I said and did not have to be hand walked through. But then I forgot it's boards.
State already helped them with social welfare payment to live off. or is it free money gratis. 🤔
Wait, now you are saying that banks do fail in other countries.
So, contradicting yourself.
Financial bomb sounds serious. not like a small bank going belly up. I'm not going to play the semantics game.
TBF, Noonan has credibility issues at the best of times.
Well at least you have admitted that you were wrong.
That is always a good start.
Words are very important!
Take the win then. Did not think it needed explaining but there you go. CBA editing my original post at this stage.
Right, let me see if I understand you.
Once a person is getting a social welfare payment, that is all the state help you believe they deserve.
OK.
Why do we need social housing? Don’t some people in social housing receive welfare payment.
Now you want to kick people out of social housing!
They are not on the street they are in hotels houses tents. They have welfare payments. How do Irish people survive on the dole without meals being paid for ?
You're on a roll. Sure he doesn't even need to respond, you are answering for him.
To quote you "I mean a central bank that just let a bank go bang how does that even happen"
Well it happens all the time as the other poster provided. So trying to say a Bank failing in Ireland is something massively irregular is incorrect.
"You can post tiny banks going pop all you like"
First off I didn't post it, Irish Banking is tiny, even Anglo was tiny compared to some of the likes of Lehman Brothers during the crash.
So if you want to discuss regulators and bank going under I would start with the big ones 👍️
$613bn of debt was Lehman, not really a "tiny bank"
