Clerical Officer in the Civil Service 2022 | Civil Service - publicjobs.ie
Thanks for your replies.
I’m a little concerned about the delaying things though in case I do pass but didn’t get an offer before the campaign finishes (I’m very new to this but I think I read something about this here the other day). Anyway I think I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow whether to just do it on the holiday or ask about rescheduling.
As the interviews are done remotely there is an expectation that you would do it unless there were circumstances that prevented it, such as a family emergency, etc. There is no harm asking though.
The booklet states that there will be no more appointments from this panel after January 31st, 2023. Depending on your county, they may not reach you again if you defer now and are put in the next batch.
You keep your order of Merit, so you'll be the first from that batch to get offered a position if you do delay your interview. If you're in a big enough county and they are interviewing another batch then I wouldn't see the harm in delaying, people getting placed will pick up next month after the summer lull
Anyone know what OOM they’re on for Waterford?
I have a bad feeling that they have skipped me completely in Kildare 🙈 my OOM was 36 and was called for interview back in June (this ended up being rescheduled as I had a family emergency) so I had to wait for next batch of interviews which was in July. I was under the impression that my OOM would remain the same.. I got word that I passed my interview on 2nd August. But I know they have gone way over my OOM in Kildare now. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Should I just wait it out?
Contact PAS and ask for an update.
@ciara_mar similar happened to me. I was in the 200's for dublin. I interviewed in feb and received my department in march. It was june and i still hadnt heard so i contacted them. And i started in July. If you are in a hurry to start i would contact them 😊
Thanks a mill, I’ll contact pas!
@RichPersonInsideAPoor They were at OOM 112 for Waterford two weeks ago
Does anybody know if your work/education background would be taken into consideration when being placed in a certain dept? I will be happy of course to pass the interview and get placed but there is one or two depts I would really like. I’m Co. Waterford. Thanks
It's not, people are just assigned to jobs in the order they are on panel
Start date confirmation early September DSP ! Thanks all on here for support!
Your given a number that’s all. Matching people to jobs might make sense which is why it doesn’t happen at CO level
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has passed interview and been offered a position in Donegal yet, or know what number they are up to?
I have passed interview but am number 70 from Stage 1 Assessment. Wondering how likely I am to be offered a position.
Many thanks.
Am I right in thinking you're longford? Do you know exactly which section yet?
In the 70s too, passed interview. But haven't heard anything yet either obviously. With Panel expiring at the end of January next I'd imagine we will unlikely to get a shout.
Hi all, I just got notification I passed my interview for Dublin 😊 how long were you waiting to hear from clearance after passing interview. Thanks
Hey everyone, does anyone have any idea what OOM they have reached for Galway?
What does that mean?
I had a look through the thread and realised I could email them, sorry guys new to this. They have reached OOM 191 for Galway if anyone is wondering. There are 38 candidates ahead of me. Realistically, does anyone think I would be reached before the end of the panel?
they interviewed up to 270ish last panel but that was over 2 years
Do you think they generally only interview up to a number that they realistically think have a chance of reaching them to offer them a position?
They told me they only call for interview when notified of vacant positions & only interview slightly over the number of vacancies to allow for people who don't pass or enter takevan offer. You've a great chance of being called.
I hope you're right 😄
Hi, I got offered a position in the DCEDIY. Does anyone know what it is to work there, work hours, blended work etc? Also, if I decide this is not for me, is now the time to email PAS and enquire if there are any positions closer to home or is that a no no?
Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know what OOM they are on for Wexford? I’d ask myself but Id say they have my email address blocked at this rate!
Hi everyone,
I’ve just found out that I’ve been assigned to the Department of Health from the panel. I’m coming in from the private sector so I was just wondering if anyone has any information on the department?
From what I can see the central office is based in Miesian Plaza on Baggot street but would it be likely that I’d be there or are there other locations around the city I could be based in? And if it is there does anyone know what facilities the building has, showers (as I’d hope to cycle)?? canteen??
Also , I would prefer to work in the office until I was comfortable in the role but does anyone know if flexitime is available in the department? And what the departments blended working policy is for future reference?
I know these are all probably ridiculous questions and things I will most likely find out on day one but just don’t want to go in totally blind as I’m already second guessing the decision to move.
No Dublin !
Hi guys,
Does anyone know what the OOM is for Dublin interview?
Did anyone receive an expression of interest for the Nsso ? Dublin
