I'm keeping a tally each Sunday - 1650 Russian soldiers killed last week.
Seemingly Dugin was present at the scene
Nobody knows what's going inside Putin's inner circle and anyone pretending to know is chatting BS.
They are going to have a huge problem come November/December. Won't be much cheer at the Xmas markets this year unfortunately 😥
One hell of a first post, welcome to boards.ie
Lets check:
West propaganda... Check
Germany takes a knee to putin... Check
Dumb UK... Check
I think we saw a lot of post like this before
And absolutely no mention of the little matter of US involvement??? Putin has not so much spoiled his copybook as used it for toilet paper. If Germany et al. decides to stop support for Ukraine, do you believe that will be the end of it? He is a loose cannon in the world, and has to be stopped. One way or another.
exactly. there's a lot of talk about a united front from NATO countries, but that will be severely tested this winter if people are freezing in their apartments with sub zero temperatures outside.
I have to laugh I was saying that 5 months ago and then winged hence bots were calling me a Putin humping spin merchant.
Putin will not like some one in the inner circle being taken out without his sanction, but maybe it was a msg to Putin ? As in Comrade, you are on our list too......don't drop your guard!!! Now members of the inner circle getting bumped off will really make an impression on him. 😂
German support for Ukraine isn't significant, and at that committed material tends to be delayed, far out in the future so even the little value Germany has committed isn't telling the whole story, sitting in a warehouse in Germany ready for dispatch east.
It's no Estonia or Latvia.
It was these bombings, organized by Yeltsin which brought Putin to power. His reign began in a blood bath, and that's how its ending.
He murdered his way to power and has been murdering ever since.
Mad
She was evil
Lots of usefull-idiotic wishful thinking about German capitulation to Putin. While I can't predict what will happen, it would appear that Germany's exposure to hardship is less than many if not most other countries, and dramatically less so than (quite tellingly) Finland or the UK. See last weeks' Economist (paywall permitting!): https://www.economist.com/finance-and-economics/2022/08/11/which-european-countries-are-most-vulnerable-to-surging-energy-prices
..
Cutting to the chase, it is now simply beyond contemplation that the US might lessen their support for Ukraine. With Putin so badly damaged, they will be highly incentivised to finish him off.
Lots of speculation too, about Germany facing a tough Winter. Let's spin that differently - if Germany weather's the storm, it's "Curtains for the Kremlin".
Nothing is set in stone. The US might very well decide it's better the devil you know.
Even if there were to be some internal disagreements within the coalition, people keep forgetting that it is being led by Joe Biden and he is scarcely affected by the Russian energy situation at all. Talk of NATO having to push Zelensky for peace in order to help out Germany and one or two others is actually quite deluded.
Or the US might attack Ukraine in support of Putin. Silly comment, but you started it.
Well done on completely missing the point but you seem to make a habit of that. Carry on.
Looks a good show though
Just noticed this. The Ukrainians have a great sense of humour 🤣
Zelensky doesn't have the authority to concede parts of Ukraine to RuSSia.
The simpleton narrative that Germany or X will force him to the table is beyond remedial, usually pushed by fúckwits who have swallowed the Kremlin Coolade on their social media but claim they are enlightened because BillyBob55 is telling it straight.
Putin crossed a line of no return, there will be no kowtowing to them going forward, in 9 months time he will have fúck all to bargain with anyway.
Also I imagine the discontent among his "mates" will grow steadily as they can no longer jet around the planet and cringe as they see their superyachts get sold on quick fire auctions.
It took a fair bit of agreement and consensus to build the momentum necessary to back Ukraine in this war ...
But that ball is rolling now . The US , UK, and Poland the Baltics, scandanavia aren't going to just back down because certain countries are struggling with gas availability , it's a factor but Ukraine isn't being thrown to the wolves ..
Yes, the 'NATO will push Zelensky to sue for peace' line is badly wrong on two counts. Firstly, Zelensky has no intention of doing it and is backed by the Ukrainian public on this. Secondly, the coalition is being led by the US, by far and away the biggest contributor to the fight back against Putin. The German energy situation this winter will barely even register on Biden's radar, he has more important things to worry about.
Nah… fully understand where you are coming from.
It should be obvious to every European government that some sort of "peace" deal between Ukraine and Russia, even if you concede the possibility of Zelensky agreeing to it would be a total disaster. I presume those who want it fancy that nice Mr Putin will just turn the gas back on if "we" back off.
One thing that Putin is good at is smelling out the weakness in others. If Putin were to see Germany suing for "peace" he would have every reason to pocket whatever concessions were on offer and to ask for more. Also the Germans know their history: the response of people like Putin or Hitler or Stalin is always to make a temporary peace and then come back looking for more.
I usually feel a bit sorry for the kids of toxic ideologues, in a sense they're victims of brainwashing from a very young age. But one look at those clips of Dugin's daughter and I think I'll reserve my pity for someone else. It's just a shame he wasn't in the car with her, even if the greatest pain for a parent is probably to live on after something like that and know you are partly responsible for it.
I suspect we'll never find out who was behind it, though Russia will presumably blame Ukraine to justify more atrocities in the war.
Considering support of Ukraine by Germany has been relatively insignificant compared to others (especially neighbouring Poland) and often much delayed in arriving months after promises made
The concept of Germany somehow forcing Ukraine to concede a fifth of its country is ridiculous and reminds me of Brexiteer arguments about German car industry saving Brexit
A useful exercise might be to add the population and economies of European countries bordering Russia and/or whom experienced the Russian boot who will continue to support Ukraine in comparison to German economic and population size
and that’s before get to US who get to concentrate on China while spending a fraction of what they spent in Afghanistan/Iraq for 20 years without a single casualty
Edit: Russia now making friends with Italians
Possibly related to spies caught after attacking a nato base in Albania
I don't think it's a useful comparison at all, the Baltic countries are all in population and economies completely insignificant compared to Germany, and Poland only has about 1/6th GDP. Not to mention Germany is the biggest contributor to EU funding while the others are all beneficiaries, Poland especially so
