I never mentioned Trump's social media of scamraising e-mails. I'm not keen on the idea of mass surveillance of practically everyone. It's something that could easily be misused by an administration that places loyalists at the head of every facet of the state and weaponises them.

hmm I don't think they can. You have to be outside the USA. They have no jurisdiction over the Internet. Obviously sending death threats or alike internally in the USA they can go after you. But for example if a US citizen threatened the life of a Foreign powers Government there is no recourse. Why people can say that they like about the small Russian chap. Inside the USA they have to get a warrant as my understanding. And that would be Questioned on why the FBI are not dealing with the Issue. CIA and NSA are supposed to be external. I know if your outside the USA they can monitor your for what 7-10 days before having to Get a warrant. No one is suggesting they don't do it but it would be Illegal.

Notice that the American right wing doesn't really define what 'woke' is. That's important because by not defining it, it becomes whatever you want it to be when you want it to be. Ron Desantis says to his supporters that he's going to kill 'woke' and they don't think he's going to only ban litter trays for school children who want to live as cats or some other scare mongering ultra-liberal thing, but that he's going to get rid of everything to the left, politically, of a Desantis supporter, which is how they would think of 'woke'. So, that could be education on gay rights, tolerance of other religions or how minorities in the USA haven't always been treated well, to name a few.
The way they and some people online use it, basically covers everyone who doesn't automatically hate someone because they are different or isn't suffering from persecution complex.
Woke just like cancel culture is just a buzz phrase that means next to nothing but also anything that suits the argument at a given time. It’s a tactic to appeal to the stupid, something for idiots to rally behind because the world is changing and they aren’t comfortable with it.
It’s weird, “woke” used to mean something positive. To be “woke” meant to be tolerant and aware of the struggles of others.
