That's Switzerland for you. To be completely fair though, they did provide all the technical data for the ammunition to the new manufacturer in Norway, something they could have very easily blocked as well. Oerlikon's patent for the stuff hasn't expired yet, as far as I know. I guess it's a bit like the Pilatus PC-9 and PC-12 aircraft that Ireland purchased:

They were designed to damage the tracks originally and grind it to a halt. They were never designed to damage the armour and shouldn't have knocked a flitter out of that tank if the hatch was closed. I was exaggerating slightly but they're no Javelin or RPG.

They can be used in times of conflict just not sold or transferred to a third party who are already in a conflict. This is done to protect Swiss neutrality. Their banks have also frozen billions in Russian assets. The Swiss can be criticised enough without having to invent reasons.

The Swiss are some contradiction. They produce and sell munitions, but customers can't use those munitions in times of conflict. If they ran a restaurant they wouldn't allow you to eat the food they'd served you. I doubt if their banks have any problems accepting deposits from conflict zones.
I'm not sure you should call an anti-tank grenade a beefed up firecracker.

Sorry, only saw your reply after I'd posted my previous reply. Switzerland is still not playing ball. The German government is working with a Norwegian supplier that has agreed to manufacture the required ammunition. Production for that is up and running, which has allowed Gepard deliveries to commence in the first place.

My favourite bit is when the tank quickly goes on fire and the drone immediately moves vertically up. Like as if the drone operator suddenly anticipated the turret blowing the drone out of the sky.
The PLA have not been in a proper war in 50 years. Aside from border skirmishes with India they have no combat experience whatsoever.
The Chinese need the military drills far more than the Russians do, although russia may see the opportunity to speed up training of some of their as of yet undeployed troops
Mental that these idiots allow a €2m tank to be destroyed by a beefed up firecracker just because they're too lazy or stupid to close the hatches. I know its warm and uncomfortable but even throwing a log under the hatch to keep it 6" open would have saved a tank and stopped them getting burnt alive.
