Its definitely one to watch, I cant get her words that "I will do whatever it takes to ensure Trump is never again anywhere near the Oval Office. And I mean it" out of my head, thats a strong signal that she is going to do it. Her new PAC she is setting up is likely to test the waters and she what she can fundraise, she'll have full access to favours from Reps who were in the Bush administration in that regard.
A dream scenario would be for her to let Trump announce his run and then bide her time and let him go through the entire primary season before she finally announces her own run. She'll have him by the short and curlies at that point becasue he will be on the ticket and I reckon the polling will almost immediately show that Cheney in the race means that Trump cant win it, he will actually go ballistic.

I thought the big thing these days was that habitually eating fast food and soda will kill you before you exit middle age, though? Or at least leave you with big health problems. Trump is 76, and although he's not the slimmest of men, he does still seem to have a fair bit of energy and no major health problems (at least none that have been reported).
But the Republicans who don't like Trump already aren't going to vote for him and there's also a danger of siphoning off disaffected Republicans from voting for the Democratic candidate if Trump were to run (if he even could run) again, so running as an independent could even help Trump.
The facts as they were in the last POTUS election are very clear - Trump is by far the most popular Republican candidate ever to run for president of the United States, at 74 million votes. It doesn't bode well that he could generate those kinds of numbers even after a spectacular mishandling of Covid. But mishandle it he did, and if you take the Biden vote as more of an anti-Trump one, then Trump is sort of the most unpopular Republican candidate to ever run, as well.
The thing I think you have to look at with Trump is not what the Lincoln Project are doing, because they're preaching to the converted, but what's happening with the devoted cult and all the party members to scared to stand up against him. Find disharmony there and Trump's in trouble as far as winning another election goes (again, assuming he can run).

a criminal organizer wants the afadavit to try and ascertain who his leaker is and what surveillance means and methods the DOJ is using on him ahead of an indictment. It would be a great tool to help Trump obstruct Justice into the investigation, rout out the flipped people in his inner circle, etc.
Affidavits from the DOJ aren’t ever unsealed before indictment as far as I’m aware. People can publicly file affidavits but it’s up to prosecutors to act on them.
