Kosovo resorting to power cuts but half their generators are shut down for pre-winter maintenance.
Russian Air Force AN-128 took off from Moscow, headed out over the Black Sea South of Crimea, then turned back.
The aircraft to its left is a USAF Global Hawk.
You can't deny the media attention on the war has dropped massively in the last few weeks. It's still a big story but many days now not the lead story on major news outlets, a few more dead civilians barely gets a mention, now we need the threat of a nuclear disaster to get general interest
And yet money and equipment continues to flow at ever faster rate, which is what matters while Russias economic collapse accelerates as sanctions mount up
As for Russians these animals will commit an atrocity sooner or later, they can’t help it.
These things were meant to be the baddest attack copters out there, I saw one report that they're not even able to stop 7.62 rounds
Sure, as long as Ukraine is getting good weapons I think it doesn't care much whether the topic is dominating pub conversations in Blackrock or not
A victory of intelligence over stupidity. Given the horrendous crimes that have been linked to the group, we can only hope there were many of their ranks on site at the time:
And as long as Russia is a potential threat to the West/ EU/ NATO they will continue to supply money and weapons so that the battle happens where it is now rather than any closer. It is still way cheaper to send weapons to Ukraine, rather than have to fight the battles directly yourself.
100% agree with you its not getting the same attention it did at the start of the war. But that’s irrelevant the reality remains the same. Ukrainians are not going to stop resisting the invasion the consequences are humiliating subjugation and barbaric torture and deportation etc. That’s all Russia are offering them. Maybe if they were a smarter race of people they could come up with something better than that to expand their sphere of influence.
Sergei may keep the head down for a while, could be difficult to sleep.
True
probably were on paper but by the time it gets made and the expensive components armour and all that have been scaled back and money pocketed. End up with something made out of tinfoil.
If Wagner groups Ukrainian base has been wiped out then we can expect Russia to comferm this by fireing missiles at schools old folks homes and shopping centers in retaliation.
What ever about a waning public interest in Ukraine, the interest of the Powers-that-be has not,far from it. Putin is a very dangerous man on the loose, and has to be stopped. He and his regime are being watched continuously, and plans made accordingly.
The Ukrainian forces will be in trouble with the North Korean forces.
The Russians will tell them that if they kill the Ukrainian forces that they can eat their food supplies. 2 square meals a day.
They'll never believe that 3 meals is an thing.
North Koreans would defect 1st chance they get. I hope they do get thousands of them it would be a fiasco.
And as much dog as they can eat. It's like wagu to North koreans
Minister of Defense of Ukraine: 6 more M109 howitzers that have recently arrived in Ukraine from Latvia are already showing results on the battlefield. I'm sincerely grateful to my Latvia colleague @Pabriks & the people of Latvia for their unwavering support. Together we will win
Cos our idiots are stupid. How do we fly to Russia exactly anyway ?
UK MoD latest, on the Russian Black Sea Fleet
Hopefully get more info on what went on here. More explosions in Crimea.
Hitting Crimea is sending a very strong message. Nowhere is safe for the enemy. Also may force Russians to relocate AA systems. Which could be part of a plan to soften up other areas.
Looks to be a very large ammo dump that went off.
Here' the firework display for those too lazy to click through the twitter thread -
If it's been going off like that for 2 hours that's a big dump that's been hit.
I had a simplistic understanding that the exploding munitions would immediately detonate other munitions and that an ammo dump going up would at some point go from on-fire to kilo-ton explosion destroying most stuff.
Fair play to the Russians in Crimea broadcasting this and helping Ukraine with the PR side of things.
That ammo dump is 230km from Mykolaiv. Is that in range of any of their missiles? It's a long way behind enemy lines. Could it be the same modus operandi as the air base attack?
I doubt it very much,,,,Kim uses the NK workforce to earn foreign currency abroad, and the they are carefully selected. Defection would be considered a major crime against the state and Kim. Part of the punishments dished out to NK lawbreakers is that the offenders family his children and even his unborn grandchildren will share the punishment as well. But what happens to those KIA or wounded? Have to wait and see.
I'd say that 3 meals a day for Russian troops in Ukraine, might not be such "a thing" either !!!😉
They've never really had a chance to get into any other country except Russia or South Korea. I reckon they'll see Ukraine as a way out. I thought about their families being punished alright but maybe a few of them will chance it anyway
If they can wangle death certificates....bodies missing, killed in massive explosion, then yes, maybe. But otherwise, I doubt it. Family ties are very strong, and how could any right thinking father sentence his family, even the unborn to serve his sentence? That Kim is another escapee from hell, same as Putin.
this appears to be the energy war-
another substation targeted in Crimea
Thread on burned out gun barrels Trent Telenko on Twitter: "Alright folks, let's strap in for the most important logistical thread🧵of the Russo-Ukrainian War. This thread is about how much artillery ammunition the Russian Army has left over from the Cold War and what shape it is in. It's going to be a ride. 1/ https://t.co/D1xUk0HBff" / Twitter
