Yet another nekulturny.
Dangerous rhetoric

Indeed. Ukraine has neither won nor lost for the time being, but they are holding which is not what the Russians were banking on. The fact that Ukraine can hold, and hold so effectively for such a long time is disastrous for the Russians.
But now they have an opponent who is bleeding them of man-power. Every little turnpike and village is turning into mini-Stalingrad fights that they only win after throwing enough cannon fodder in, or if the Ukrainian’s bug out to a better position…(because they appear to be the smarter fighters in this war).
And for their efforts the Russians are now on currently worthless territory that’s actively hostile to them, they have now galvanised many Ukrainians (including Russian speakers) into a shared national identity. They have made the endgame if Finlandisation to mean NATO Membership, forever removing that card from their “diplomatic” game deck. They have turned the Russian Federation into a gigantic North Korea, now reliant on China & Friends to supply them with bog-standard tech.
Oh…and the wealthy Russians now can’t go to Europe to holiday and buy Gucci crap….let me just wipe a tear of sadness from my cheek about that last one.
If this is Russian “Winning”, I would hate to see what losing looks like.
Right, Russia certainly aren't doing as well as they hoped, and their efforts have been counterproductive in a lot of ways - but Ukraine is still in the ****. In terms of the actual fighting, Russia don't appear to be lost yet after the six months. It's like if a thug is beating the crap out of someone, and lookers-on say "let's not be friends with the thug any more", or "Hey, stop that!", or even block a few of the blows, and the consensus then becomes "There, look, the victim isn't being as badly beaten as the thug wanted, and this is going to reflect badly on the thug, who is getting tired btw.. Everything's rosy!"
Any information on how things are on the Russian home front? Rising unemployment, rising inflation, budget being cannibalized to pay for the war ( OOP's...I mean " Special Nazi Elimination Operation" ) so expect major cut backs in other areas...public health, infrastructure etc. Oh, and I see that the Dollar / Euro shops are back again. Foreigners with their foreign currency only, no others ( ordinary Russians) need apply. God, how I remember the looks of sheer hatred I used to get coming out of one of these shops when I lived there. Hard to blame them, I suppose. All the goods that the west had to offer, right in the middle of Moscow, but not for Russians. Its history repeating itself.
This oul Ukraine has lost one fifth of its territory so must be loosing the war nugget.
Seems to be the go to response for all the trolls on social media to say how Ukraine has lost and should surrender.
At the start of the war many were predicting the complete capitulation of Ukriane, Kiev would fall in days we heard.
Russia which was supposed to be one of the great military powers on this planet have only been able to take one fifth of Ukraine for over 6 months while spunking vast amounts of weapons and loosing vast amounts of troops.
Are Ukraine winning? Well we can debate that, but Russia sure as hell are not winning if you go by what their objectives have been from the start.
And in a war which was supposed to be against NATO expansion, it is now looking likely they have achieved exactly the opposite in that regard.
Re-read my post.
Antonovsky Bridge
Or maybe Kissinger just wants more war.
There is that quote which explains it
When the facts change, I change my mind.
Under any realistic barometer that’s losing. Not advancing in an evasion is losing. Losing is not the same as ‘lost’.
Not sure if your serious. When they failed to topple Kiev in the first days they lost. Look at the big picture, they united the West, succeeded in pushing Sweden and Finland into NATO. Germany has overturned their millitary policy, the EU have begun to wean themselves of Russian oil and gas. They Isolated themselves from most of the World and destroyed their economy.
residents of Kherson
Notice the guys in the background... they don't take too kindly to the Russian soldier guy walking past. Russia can't even stage a PR photo without it going pair shaped!
People have been posting here about how Russia has "lost" for nearly six months. Afaict, they seem to control a fifth of Ukraine.
Doing a bit of Sunday overtime in St.Petersburg for Prigozhin, are we
I'm ok with him saying he's changed his mind. Still not going to add him to my Christmas card list though.
I wouldn't feed the trolls if I were you. I do however suggest that they try 50808 for help
Very disjointed thinking
Do you find the assessment of daily scenarios difficult ?
Your real disappointment is that they stayed and fought for their country and have shown the World that the Russian army is a complete joke and Russia itself is a corrupt mafia state.
The real disaster is Russia, have you not realised they have lost yet? You now have the whole of the Western world slowing suffocating you both militarily and economically. Hand on heart I love it.
By the way, Ireland welcomes Ukrainians and are happy that they are safe here. You need to learn a bit of Irish history to understand how we might be a bit more understanding to a people being invaded and terrorised.
Does the Russian embassy on Orwell Road not insist a level of fluency in English before letting you go to post almost unreadable nonsense?
No matter how you wish to paint it, Russia has lost already. They are North Korea mark II.
Welcome to Boards!
We hope you have enjoyed your short stay during your Special Posting Operation.
Will you make it to 10 posts before you, like your Generals in Kherson, withdraw to the left bank?
He can go jump. No backtracking made his bed.
Kissinger who was much discussed earlier in thread done a complete u turn
Let's hope they dont roll the jeeps on the way out.
Would not put it past their allies to have caused this trying to drag the army into the war. As they don't seem interested atm.
It's more of a weapon for Russia to pretend that it 'cares' about the facility in order to pretend to build up some faux goodwill. Knowing Russia they will probably set off a nuclear disaster by mistake judging by the state of their army.
Whatever people think about Ukraine, Russia has exposed itself as an amateur military operation relying on conscripts and putting pro-Russian Ukrainians on the front line, which they (pro-Russians) don't seem too happy about.
So much for the comrades and a Soviet superpower. India must be sh*ting itself filled to the brim with Soviet/Russian equipment. Western weaponry has changed a failing defense into a war that could last a long time. Imagine if French, Finnish, American, British operators were involved.... Russia is out of its depth.
I wonder how many of these lurk in Irish waters without us ever knowing.
Is the whole nuclear power station thing a giant game of chicken ?
The Russians using the station, confident of its protection.. and the Ukrainians shooting closer and closer to the russians ,confident in their accuracy .
And a limited strike on the spent fuel storage may be least worst option...( From a military point of view )
Leaving Enerhodar
That thing they did for Russia was a one time deal and it was something critical of Ukraine, not favourable to Russia. This is textbook subversive propaganda, Russia has no chance of getting a positive image so they sow doubt about Ukraine so the people in the west will be like well maybe Ukrainians are just as bad. So even if they publish plenty of criticist against Russia it won't make any difference anyway.
Calls for peace and compromise on both sides, focus on national issues instead of a foreign war, not get involved and maintain neutrality, spreading fear that europeans will freeze next winter, spreading fears of nuclear escalation if the west helps, and now this human rights thing, these are all usual Russian subversive propaganda. They are designed to break the morale and support in the west.
