Had to laugh at Virgin Media news this evening, 18 minutes in they interviewed Ali who was 'simulating' the hardship of the goat (minus toilet breaks to EuroSpar) and then they interviewed someone called simply 'Johnny The Rock' who said the Puck will be the top man when he gets back to the flock, pure extra time gold 😁

Funny actually.....one of the days last week dere was a 10-15min piece on de one o'clock news on de student accommodation stuff. Didn't catch de names, but there was definitely a politician or two, as well as a student union lickarse, yet between dem and Dobbo, I only heard one single mention of de Yew Krainians and even then it was a throwaway comment as opposed to being discussed as an intrinsic obstacle now in de way of those seeking accommodation.

But back to de important stuff........Joe must be due a nice little breakeen, even a week maybe ?

There is a certain immaturity in this country when discussing anything around the refugee/economic migrant situation in this country, along with a lot of other issues, politicians afraid to open their mouth lest they be cancelled by the new church... Pointless tuning into any of those "debates" on the airwaves imv.. and then the absence of any real debate leaves all those issues simmering under the surface driving citizens to the extremes, a whirlwind will be reaped one day from all this though I may not be around to see it when it comes

As you say “the new church”. The old church was one that people took an awful long time to question vocally, and most of its worst aspects had fizzled out in the end though it’s old legacy is poisonous. Still the media did shine a torch on the old church here and there in increasing measure, but they are shining no torches at all on the new church for fear of being excommunicated by Official Ireland

Very difficult to answer Cawlur, here's what we know.

Irish inshurdance companies falling over themselves virtue signalling, Banks too, basically waiving all the norms you and I have to adhere too.

Basically they are accepting at face value a self declaration from Ukrainian refugees are just marvelous drivers, not banned and bizzarely their Driving licenses are ligitimate (theres no way to check)

It gets worse.

THE National driving licence authority are exchanging Ukrainian driving licences temporarily even though, these licences can not be verified.

Aside from this extraordinary state of affairs, I no of no insurance company in Ireland that will insure a foreign registered car here (open to correction)

And re registering these cars after a period of residency seems to be waived also.

I know a Garda, actually a few, they've said its not worth their time even stopping these cars & a number of accidents have occurred and impossible to prove or get details of Ukrainian registered cars or drivers insurance details.

In essence, they are not getting insurance despite all the Virtue signalling nonsense & I'd pity anyone who gets caught in an accident with these drivers or their cars. #staywellclear
