Yes, but embracing of the kind of people who believe JFK Jr. was going to come back from the dead represents a significant upping of the ante. Although it could be said that the party has long embraced people with crazy beliefs (religious fundamentalists), the likes of QAnon seem to have no limit to how much they're prepared to distort reality in order to square things in their minds. Going back to when Nixon got done for Watergate, it shows there was a time when both parties were able to agree on a common standard. Those times appear to be gone.
Oh I agree that is why the names of the FBI agents were released, and only scum would be defending him and the GOP or attempting any form of whataboutery.
But the FBI knows that they are targets and should have the appropriate measures in place, or at least you would hope that they do.
The FBI would be brass balls confident enough to bring forward this raid if:
1) Trump signed out the SCI documents
2) Trump had not returned the SCI documents
3) The documents were found in the wild by the intelligence community
4) Informants confirmed Trump still was in possession of the SCI
5) Trump denied he still had certain documents etc.
If so, there is no legal coming back from that.
These people talking about Trump in 2024 now have to worry about keeping Trump out of Gitmo.
Well Nixon committed treason and cost the lives of numerous U. S. military personnel to get elected, while trump committed treason to try and stay in power and caused the lives of law enforcement personnel doing so.
Apart from the GOP just being their usual selves, the democrats share part of the blame in both cases by pussyfooting around both of them.

SO I was watching a segment earlier, and they were saying what the next steps will be in the investigation.
Every single document that has been recovered will be fingerprinted to see if they can identify people who handled the documents at any stage in MAL.
This has some crazy, crazy repercussions if it goes wrong for TFG.
Also the significance of the doc that referenced the President of France? I wonder could the French request a copy of it. could this cause diplomatic issues?

I also know that the FBI has a very good cyber division and have the tools to find them if needed. The only limitations are the numbers and due process.
A lot of this comes back to the fact that Trump firmly believes that being President is like being King.
He took the documents because in his mind they were his to take.
He potentially have them to others because again, in his mind they were his to give.
He has never been quite able to get his head around the fact that as President he was not "All Powerful" and that he was subject to rules and oversight etc. just like everyone else
His unique combination of ignorance and arrogance may finally be his undoing.
They certainly might make enquiries through diplomatic channels but I don't think they would be given a copy.
Who knows, the DGSE may well have their own documents on trump.
The most bizarre thing about this from the GOP's point of view is that they always paraded themselves as the party of law and order, strong on laws, strong on the constitution. This man has trampled all over the basic Republican principles and yet they are now following him to the ends of the earth. I disagreed with John McCain on 99% of things politically but the man must be turning in his grave now. If he could see what's become of his party, he'd be truly appalled.

It is good news, but I think you posted this in the wrong thread
Yep. McCain as a politician had many abhorrent views and, at the end of the day, was still a Republican.
However, he was always a good man. Losing in grace at the big stage and then calling out this fool on his bullsh*t until the very bitter end.
Regardless of his views, him voting against repealing Obamacare saved the lives of millions of people, especially after he voted against the Affordable Care Act in the first place.
