If what you say were applied to the Muslim religion, then I can see hysterical stuff about Islamophobia (to a large extent the outrage would be justified btw). But extending it to "any churches" means you drag Christianity into the argument. So that will be allright then in Progressive circles. Outlawing all Muslim immigration to western countries probably over the top. I can certainly see the case for something like, for example, a ban on hijabs. France and Denmark have implemented such a policy. Currently, we're not remotely close to that in Ireland. The virtue signallers basically run the country.

I don't think an argument about Islam is appropriate, but neither is whatabouting. Surely condemnation of the attack should trump that? And if this relates to the fatwah, then it was done in the name of Islam. I'm not sure there are the same kinds of attacks in the name of Christianity.
