what is it with americans and top loading washing machines?
I've heard they're actually better - less prone to leaking.
i've never had a front loader leak in 40 years. It seems to be just an inertia thing. Front loaders are quantifiably better
Beautiful home. I really like that one.
Was looking through the 40 pictures 30ish pictures in, started thinking "it's grand, don't know why it was posted in this thread" and them promptly went "WHAT THE F"
It's fabulous just the shiny floor and the stairs, I wonder would it cost much to fix to the buyers taste, anyway I haven't a hope of buying it unless we win the lotto.
<whispers> what's wrong with a cream kitchen π?
Nothing, but the country cream kitchen with granite countertops was in vogue during the 2000-2007 McMansion era. π
Ah I see. π
There's quite a few ginormous houses going up for sale these times, it seems. I wonder do people downsize when it becomes an empty nest, or is it financial, or a bit of both.
Probably a mixture of both, the ongoing maintenance and cleaning must be a pain. Imagine having 5000 sqf of floors to hoover and mop? π₯ΊMany of these houses are also at the age where things start to go wrong - boiler needs to be replaced etc. The market is also only at a place now where people can get out and won't be in negative equity.
Looks like they kept on adding on extensions for extra rooms also decor is very much of it's time.

Isn't this Ronan Keatings house?
No idea if it is or not, I thought it was quite funny if it was, as he seems to be holding a spot for any gold/platinum records in photos 11 + 12. But then I continued through, does he have any young children? Photos 26 + 27 look like there may be a young child living there.
The 4 poster bed is horrific. So is that whole room.
are they pvc windows...??
Well as far as I know he's young kids with Storm.
Games Room? You'd think they'd have a decent pool table at least!
Why on a β¬2 million house would the EA mention a Samsung double American fridge as a selling point? It's like a car ad mentioning it has a Magic Tree air freshener.
The games room is photo 18
In fairness Ive seen worse houses sell for alot more money. I like this house - rooms are big but not too big, its well finished and needs nothing really doing to it. The garden is also a nice size. Overall its a good family house.
Kilkee, Co Clare
I love that! Although it needs work and has evidence of damp it's still a reasonable enough asking price.
The estate agent should be shot with their "wreath iron gates" though.
Sounds like a gladiator. Google says they do indeed have two kids.
They're less reliable, slightly smaller and usually have less functions. Give me a normal dishwasher over integrated any day
they look terrible in a decent kitchen imo.
They're ugly though. I can't say I've ever found integrated dishwashers unreliable either.
Google says its not
The degree to which integrated dishwashers are smaller makes a lot of difference when loading dinner plates. I have had both and I would not have another integrated one. Prettiness in a kitchen is overrated - form should follow function especially in a kitchen.
Is this your ideal kitchen? ;)
That's class. Get the jacks done in the same style and cleaning becomes a breeze.
