I've had chronic illness for a long time and last year has been particularly bad with a number of hospital admissions. I was discharged last week and we immediately went to our chemist with the prescription. Four visits later by my husband, at least 20 phone calls - as many of the calls weren't answered - we are still awaiting one drug to be dispensed.
It's actually like a comedy show at this stage, the staff keep changing and they have locom pharmacists in to cover. You describe the issue to one pharmacist and the next day, the new pharmacist hasn't a clue what you are talking about.
I could go on and on about the dreadful customer service but there is always a mistake or issue anytime I have to collect my monthly script.
They now have me calling Pharmaceutical companies looking to see if they supply the final drug, instead of them doing it.
I'm not going to name the company but they have a number of branches in the local area, and I think it's pretty obvious who they are. The reason I chose to use them was the long opening hours. I actually left one of the branches and moved to another but they seem to have developed the same poor customer service as my previous chemist unfortunately.
I'm not looking for perfection and I'm very reasonable but at this stage I'm seriously thinking of moving chemist due to the stress of dealing with them.
I'm in the Castleknock area, so anywhere including Blanchardstown village would be suitable.
Looking for any recommendations, and at this stage, I'm happy to go with a chemist with less flexible hours. Once they are reliable.
