I got bit by either one of these or a gurnard before while fishing, the feeling was like a bee sting and jellyfish sting in one with a feeling you were going to doy and a numbness like pins and needles, it bled solid for over an hour. The more knowledgeable men aboard the boat didn't see any danger and we continued the afternoons fishing 🎣.

I never understand why swimming shoes are not more widely available. They make enormous sense, from traipsing over pebbly beaches, to avoiding razor shells and weaver fish
