I have no idea what this post means.
This is bordering on New World Order Anti-Vaxxer malarky from BB.
You need to offer proof on your theory BB. Otherwise its a tall tale about something you know little or nothing about.
Someone had their eye on our water...
Who?
Was it the Joker or the Penguin or maybe it was Ra's al Ghul?
Just because someone says something, doesn't mean its true. I want proof, not stories.
Would you buy a derelict hotel with no business to speak of ? Refurbish it ? No customer base no tourists as a gamble like. 🤔
He would if certain government contracts came his way.
Yeah it's like they know something we don't. I wager If I try it I would go bust. And the people in the know.. sorry lucky would buy my failed business.
What theory? Its entirely factual. I can see how bizarre it all is but its the reality. Pure good fortune. Does having it spelled out make you uncomfortable? Its unbelievable but true.
People are deciding to buy hotels that are going out of business only to be awarded lucrative state contracts. Call ripley's.
The state sold siteserv at a loss then awarded sitserv a fat state contract. Luck of the Irish.
Ah now, are you saying a minister is a liar? Are you a shinner?
By the way, Ra's al Ghul would be put the DP for a number of years. A great earner the DP. The refugee industry going great.
Some factual stuff on this, IBRC made the decision to sell Siteserv under its remit to wind down the rotten Anglo and there were nine bidders for the meters contract competition, run by IW. None of this was the government.
Housing........
More Housing.... (Just 716 homes to rent in the Entire country)
More Housing (Rents Soaring)
There's, much, much, much more this morning.
Housing for feck all going swimmingly.
Daft... is right
You had better ask Fergus O'Dowd or his manager at the time Phil Hogan.
You seem reluctant to acknowledge that Fergus O'Dowd said this in the Dail. Did you watch the video? He was the Minister of State with responsibility for establishing Irish Water. Would you have the Dail record amended so that he didn't say it? Should be retract it?
Here is Fergus's bio.
Fergus has represented the constituency of Louth as a TD since 2002 and is a member of a number of Oireachtas Committees, including: Housing, Planning, Community, and Local Government; Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands; and Housing and Homelessness. Fergus is formerly the Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources and Environment, Community & Local Govt, with responsibility for the NewEra Project.
He has held a number of senior positions on the Fine Gael Frontbench and is a former Senator and Mayor of Drogheda.
-------------------
Seems a capable fellow. Are you calling him a liar? He was dropped as a minister by Hogan in the July 2014 reshuffle. Ambitious AK47 took took over then. Loose lips and all that.
O'Dowd: My proposal to ban Irish Water privatisation was deleted (irishexaminer.com)
O'Dowd: My proposal to ban Irish Water privatisation was deleted
The minister who set up Irish Water has said there are "forces" within the Department of the Environment who want to privatise the water network.
Fergus O'Dowd said there was good reason to be concerned about the possibility of Irish Water being sold to private hands.
The Fine Gael TD made his comments in the Dáil in the early hours of the morning, as TDs debated the Water Services Bill.
"We have reason to be concerned," he said. "I am convinced there are other forces at work here - not necessarily political forces - that are active and they do have an influence."
He said he wanted a ban on privatisation to be included in previous legislation, but that proposal was deleted.

Maybe some day you will thank him
It's weird, when people complain about data centers serving Europe, people defend them saying we all use the services.
But when it comes to food and power we have to export our emissions despite the people of Ireland still needing food and energy. Far more jobs supported by agriculture too than data centers
Which private investment firm set up and oversaw the IBRC and the sale?
The decision was taken after consultation with the Central Bank and the Financial Regulator. The Anglo Irish Bank Corporation Act 2009 was passed and transferred the ownership of Anglo Irish Bank to the Minister for Finance.
As a result of the European System of National and Regional Accounts (ESA 2010), IBRC is classified in government. Any payment from the Special Liquidators of IBRC to the State would be considered an intra-government payment with no impact on the deficit.
The Department of Finance yesterday said it had discovered files in its Merrion Street headquarters with minutes of IBRC board meetings – including the one at which the controversial sale of Siteserv to a company owned by businessman Denis O'Brien had been discussed.
...Last month, Mr Noonan told the Fianna Fáil leader in the Dáil that the Department had not received the minutes of the critical IBRC meeting on the Siteserv sale.
Gas altogether.....
Maybe. Hotels have changed hands before and will change hands after this government.
There is ZERO proof of corruption in relation to Hotels being bought because of some backroom deal with the Department of Justice and the Government to funnel refugees their way. Absolutely none.
Anyone who posts such stuff without proof is a raving lunatic and conspiracy theorist.
O Dear , who actually suggested corruption 🤔 remind me again 🙄 Raving lunatics , conspiracy theorists, my word , I need say no more .
And proof of corruption on these contracts?
Its entirely factual.
If it's factual you can offer proof of said corruption and backroom deals, not "Santa Clause is real" type of stories parents tell their kids.
Get away with your facts..... we want a nice totally concocted narrative and story that we can make up in the pub.
If you are concerned about Datacentres, log out of all devices and don't use the internet.
Last I looked you and about 4 other posters did.
Carry on , keep digging
You need to pass me the shovel first.
Your doing fine without a shovel , anything new to discuss today Marko 🤔
Well, im still waiting for evidence of so-called massive corruption when it comes to hotels and refugees....
I guess ill be waiting a while.
You don't appear to be waiting for anything at all , wasn't it you who used the word corruption 🤔 obviously you've made up your mind .
Nothing new to discuss , thought so...
What corruption? Do these facts smell like corruption to you? Its just amazballs levels of good fortune.
Its just you. Why do you begrudge these lucky people their repeated good fortune with your conspiracy theories?
When the facts are clearly laid out it reads like claims of corruption to you?
Yellow alert for the power supply. Energy expert earlier today put data centers front and center. Evening News on RTE didn't mention them. Got PM on drive time now.
Winter looking rough. Will MM be out the door before any blackouts? FF Dooley on saying we need data centers for the economy. Sure that will keep us all cosy.
I just recorded a very interesting podcast on sustainability and one of the points raised in the podcast is that we can't expect farmers to be expected to shoulder the burden of emissions reductions. Sure they have to play their part and we have to help them do this.
This neatly leads us back the deal the government reached two weeks ago which will cause problems in the future because of what Farmers are asked to do.
In the podcast we also talked about goal settings and that kicking the can down the road is a bad idea. Setting goals for 2050 when we should be setting achievable goals that we put into practice now and not like the government is doing which is kicking the can down the road leaving us less time to reach our targets.
I never mentioned corruption yet you keep bringing that up. It's more than mere coincidence that these contracts are being awarded.
