Thinking of getting the rear glass tinted next, looks difficult to do though
Get it done by someone who has done it before. The rear window requires a specific length of roll and a lot of experience to get it done in one piece.
Flawless Detailing in finglas done mine.
20% on tears with 35% on front doors
Not in the smoke, I’ll ask local guy has he done one before but I’m in no mad rush. I’d like to do the front too but would only go the allowed 15% and that’s not really worth it
In 100% going to this place when I get the new M3. Only read good reviews.
Padraic is decent and honest. He also drives a M3 and is a member of the Tesla FB Group so very approachable.
Was it expensive @gumbo?
If you prefer not to say could you pm the details. Thanks 👍
As an indication it was €70 for my rears
I know the width of M3 is similar to my current Kia Carens but it seems narrower and am wondering if anyone here with an M3 has three kids, and if so how do you (they) find it space wise when all are sitting down? Mines ages are 7,10,12
What Car did a test on a number of EVs (Model 3 incl.) to run the battery right down, and see how far the cars would go after that - interesting, but obviously not advisable :)
Mat Watson has done this regularly on his carwow youtube channel over the last few years.
Link below has all the videos.

A few Model Y Long Range cars have appeared on `Inventory on Tesla site in case anyone is interested
Hi Ghost,
You ordered a Model 3 a few days ago and have a delivery date of Sept?
On the Tesla site they are saying Jan '23 as far as I can see.
Has anyone been successful scheduling a delivery date?
I was thinking I'd be able to get my car late August, early September but just got an email from Tesla that the earliest is 23rd of September?
I suppose I don't mind waiting another few weeks I've been waiting since March.
If you want one there are a number of cars available now on their website..delivery September . Would suit anyone who was thinking of ordering . They wont last long.
Move fast if you want September delivery (16 Model 3 varying specs currently avaialable)
Anyone who ordered recently is getting delivery dates in September. Ignore the Q1 23
Just received a renewal quote from Aviva, have been with them 3 years, as has the wife. Increased from €440 to €1045 or so. 52 yo M, Full No Claims, No Points. Model 3 22D.
Crazy increase, shopped around & got a quote from RSA for €430. Every Insurer was cheaper.
Aviva must have had a bit of hassle re repairs taking too long or parts being unavailable and lengthy car rental periods.
I have a 15 month old in a seat, a 6 year old in another and my 11 year old fits in the middle. It’s a tight squeeze compared to our 5 series and model s before hand but it works. Once a week at most all 3 of them would be with me so wasn’t a problem for me.
It was around the €300 mark but I got all windows done except the windscreen. I got the rear screen all the way up to the centre bar.
As JOL1 says, the Jan-Mar estimate can be ignored for now. If ordered on time, car will arrive next month. This is due to people pushing orders back or cancelling. Order now if you want one
..and Tesla still ship on spec so always a chance of an un-allocated car...last year there were plenty in the UK ordering and picking up the same week
You need to buy from Inventory..from available specific cars.. If you just order you will be placed in the queue
try 123.ie.
They provide Insurance through RSA but i got 380 for my quote
Thanks Ghost & JOL1 -- I have just ordered one from Inventory !!
Which one?
Is privacy glass not standard now or available as an option?
I don't think so on the Model 3.
Congratulations you wont regret. Will be the fastest delivery yet!
Standard on Model Y.
No option on Model 3 for some strange reason.
Privacy Glass is just a posh dealer term
for tinted windows 🤣
Its a paid option on most other cars so Tesla should offer it by now.
BMW charge €393 for the rears on the i4 and I’d say most would pay to have it factory done rather than having to faff around with it aftermarket at a later stage.
