Yeah a bit of a half arsed apology but seriously the amount of hatred aimed at Amnesty here over the last few pages(the new villain after Scholz and Germany finally got their act half together?) is ridiculous. Of all the evil actors in the world, Amnesty is really not very high on the list. Move on, focus on what matters
I've been thinking about this recently because there are a lot of posts on Twitter complaining that Palestine is not getting enough publicity. Personally I think the Arab/Moslem world does not command attention from the west because of the terrorist attacks they made on the west and because of the way they make a show out of killing journalists etc. Also, Ukrainians dress like us, they have similar shopfronts, cars etc. Psychologically this makes a difference. Of course it is more complicated that this but these, I think, are factors. The biggest factor may be that the media are not reporting on a fraction of their troubles.
Can't help but notice that you have been somewhat ambiguous in your views about the Russian invasion of their neighbours, indifferent anyway. Maybe even supportive, hard to tell. There are others here of the same view, they are your 'fellow travellers'.
If so, I can readily understand why videos of soldiers lost might offend you. Given the testament of the barbaric actions of many of these same Russian soldiers, I don't think many here have much sympathy for their life & death.
In defence of zv2, they have mostly mentioned the content of these clips.
I see Amnesty is now rowing back on its recent Ukraine report.
While Amnesty seems to stand by the report's contents, it uses what I would regard as weasel words to gloss over its report: Amnesty said it had found Ukrainian forces next to civilian residences in 19 towns and villages it visited, exposing them to risk of incoming Russian fire. "This does not mean that Amnesty International holds Ukrainian forces responsible for violations committed by Russian forces, nor that the Ukrainian military is not taking adequate precautions elsewhere in the country," it said.
And Europe it's so dependant of imported oil and gas, specifically imported from Russia because Russia made sure that Europe bans fracking and moves away from nuclear. Yes, it will never end until Russia is officially designated hostile at the EU level and any influence is treated as an attack, or treason, depending of circumstances. But as long as obviously bought and compromised politicians from Mick and Clare to Schroeder aren't held accountable indeed this type of stuff will never end. And also cold war never ended.
Unfortunately the world is full of awful people and in politics you have to deal with at least some of them. Russia is villain of the year for understandable reasons so the villain of 2 years ago, MBS, gets a temporary pardon. It's not pretty but hard to avoid.
However it does deliver ammunition to people who say the West is hypocritical and always preaches how it's a culture built on universal human rights and values, yet when necessary is perfectly prepared to support awful regimes with no respect for these values at all.
Fair enough.
Nothing new there, a few Russian authors who served as conscripts in Chechnya have written about how some units left the bodies of Chechans in crucifixion poses on trucks, houses etc.
My point is Europe is now rolling out the read carpet for MBS now that Putin has turned of the taps. MBS is buying oil of Russia so they can sell more of their oil to the west and the west is ok with that. It will never end, this type of stuff.
Social media provides flood of images of death and carnage from Ukraine war – and contributes to weaker journalism standards
Both are evil, but we care more about Russia and Putin and the war in Ukraine because it hits closer to home. Russia and Putin are the ones hostile to the west, and we live in the west, not in Yemen. That's it, it's only natural to care more about what happens in Europe.
So what is your point?
Why? Is the reality upsetting you and fellow travellers? Anyway poster ZV2 has noted in some of their videos.
I'd be more concerned as to veracity of the videos and when they were filmed, are they current or old ones regurgitated?
But not the content. If they are Russian or Pro Russian forces dying in those shots, well I've little sympathy given the circumstances of how they are there.
Even their flight plans are bogus...;)
Russian AF IL-76, originally planned for ( and still showing) St.Petersburg but decided to keep going and now seems bound for Kaliningrad.
It is tough to watch what Putin has caused.
Maybe pay attention to how things are unfolding before reaching into the box marked “simpleton barbs”
It was whataboutery and I doubt you hear much in your mothers box room.

Nah. Sitting on the bog posting. One of those things that keep getting stolen in Ukraine after the family they owned it have been murdered by the Russians.
Whet was the point you were trying to make then?
you can interpret the post anyway you want, shouts from an armchair don’t concern me.
Hey look over there! Nothing to see here.
Rather than point at what’s going on elsewhere to deflect from what Russia is at, why not start a thread if you wish to talk about it?
Who is worse ?
MBS, who is bombing Yemen and cutting up Journalists but appears to be back in business baby. Note what he is standing in front off.
Or
So much for pushing Nato back. This is Helsinki's new tourist attraction.
Mr Dvorianets and 13 other fishermen and women went from going out on the water to catch pike and catfish to running up to three evacuations a day.
I wouldn’t rule anything out but it does seem very far fetched.
Ukraine have said that Russia is storing heavy weapons at the plant and that Russian soldiers have set up a base here. Now they are saying the Russians are bombing the same plant.
Ah lads
That’s because China banned Russian flights in March for safety reasons
anyways
I say your right but if it does happen it's probably a win win for Kim jong un. Let's say even if they send 20k troops. That's 20k less mouths to feed in North Korea. 20k less people of a drain on North Korea. If food and fuel was supplied to North Korea it would be a massive help to them as there are signs they might be heading towards a famine there. So send soldiers less mouths to feed, if they die there less to come back home to drain on the country. Food etc. supplied by Russia might help divert a famine there. Also even if the majority say was to die in Ukraine it would provide north Korea with combat experience from whoever returned that they could do with and also say if they did send soldiers and they were crap they will still kill a few Ukrainian soldiers that otherwise would not of been killed if the North Koreans were not there, so those soldiers would not be around to fight the Russians. So basically it would be in Ukraines interest that not a single North Korean was to go to Ukraine to fight there. Cos even if they didn't loose a single soldier against them they would have to use a lot of material on them that otherwise in their best interests would be better off used against Russian forces. The last thing Ukraine needs to hear is a possible 100k force from any country coming in to help their enemies even if they were the crapest 100k forces to fight them which I am sure they wouldn't be. So let's hope the reports are a pile of garbage.
Even some of the Russian public must have raised eyebrows at these stories. They know full well that North Korea is a kip and an extreme dictatorship.
North Korea have plenty of troops to throw into that fight, but the quality is likely much less than the better fed idiot conscripts the Russians have been throwing into the fight so far.
Pyongyang has a history of supplying dirt-cheap labor to the Russians, so sending troops wouldn’t be beyond the Pale, especially if they can get some desperately needed cash out of it. However I don’t see it being worth the logistical effort to get enough troops to make any significant difference.
What’s the story with this nuclear plant in Ukraine? We know Russia are capable of anything but is it plausible they are shelling the plant they are in control of and may be using as a military base?
