I could well and truly see why the Ukrainians would shell it ... Especially if they're confidant ( rightly or wrongly ) in their aim . They're trying to get the Russians out .. and if the Russians are lying awake at night looking at what they're using for defence .. and not so confident in the Ukrainians aim ..
As to why the Russians would bomb it - kinda the same thing- pressure on the Ukrainians ... But with less accuracy..
War is awful
"He said that soldiers like himself could leave at any point and were never forced to fight against their will. However, he was reluctant to leave his friends as they had a better chance of surviving by working together."
According to the military historians, this is what keeps units together in combat. Forget political figureheads or ideologies, at the front the soldiers are fighting for each other, and this is probably as true for the Taliban as it is for the U.S. Marines or any other military corps.
"The closer you get to the front line, the fewer abstract nouns you hear."
- Gwynne Dyer. WAR
"Once you get out there and you realize a guy is shooting at you, your first instinct, regardless of all your training, is to live. … But you can’t turn around and run the other way. Peer pressure, you know? There’s people here with you that have probably saved your life or will save your life in the future; you can’t back down. "
- USMC Vietnam veteran
Is this not part of the reason that the Russians are literally stealing Ukrainian people?
Exactly this, not only what was on the ship but thousands of tonnes need to be cleared first that got contaminated since the blockade of the ports.
Maybe not human consumption quality but ok for animals, and it was already sitting in the port taking up space they could be used for the transit for human grade grains?
Cant figure this out. We were told the grain shipments were essential to feed african countries. But one of the first ships from Odessa is coming to Ireland with corn to be used in animal feed?
Why would they dig trenches in Chernobyl? Simply put, it’s because they are clueless idiots.
Ukraine and Russia both blaming each other on the shelling of the worlds largest nuclear plant yesterday. I tend to believe both sides are using propaganda especially Russia on a massive scale but i'd like to know why Russia would shell a nuclear plant that they themselves control at present? And don't bother with the putinbot go to response for just posing a simple question it's absolutely tiresome at this stage.
Anti-war? You mean anti-west, Amnesia international tend not to be too vocal about various despots and dictatorships
I'm expecting synchronised attacks on Russian infrastructure to be the next step up from the many arson attacks.
It would certainly "awaken" Russian citizens to the fact that their "leaders" have stepped on the wrong toes.
" Yes, the West hates you NOW, but why do you think that is? "
Putting inferiority complex, little men at the top of a pyramid power structure is stupid.
Putin sees traitors in his tea, CIA spooks in his coffee, and the lord only knows what he sees in his horlicks.
Very brave guy who walked the walk.
Good to see that he managed to get back home safe.
Now the Russians are putting heads of prisoners of war on stakes in Popasna
not going to post the photos on twitter as they are gruesome
That’s a bingo
How do you sue for peace with a nation that does not recognise yours.
I hope the adults do the work and sue for peace
The Russians probably have charity workers in ukraine planted and directing artillery. Yanks are definitely feeding ukraine any mobile interceptions that look fishy.
Yea, like you said, Amnesty International were thrown out of Russia. I sincerely doubt they have been "infiltrated" by Russia. I think it's more a case that they are populated by the likes of Sabrina Higgins. People who are genuinely anti-war, but don't seem to realise that any ambiguity they make in their statements will be latched on by Russia in their propaganda war.
Link to Red Cross withholding?
I’ve lost a lot of respect for various charities (Red Cross withholding most donations they got for Ukraine for example)
this is same ammesty international who is banned in Russia and whose members rot in Russian jails

This is one of the warlocks that started all this
Former Pro-Russian President Of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Son Hit With EU Sanctions (rferl.org)
Good move
I am starting to suspect that many NGOs like Amnesty have usefully you know what's planted their by foreign agents. Some green campaigners have already been found out to receiving cash from Russia. Separately China till recent have been the biggest contributions to the WHO. Just saying we need to be mindfull when we hear some NGO shouting in the future. The world is a strange place and getting stranger.
Detailed analysis of murder of Ukrainian pow

A P8-A Poseidon Sub-hunter currently patrolling off Kaliningrad. Its sudden scoot to the North may be an indication of interception by Russian SU-27's which usually chase them off.
... And if Russia attack some civilian target then Ukraine had best stay away or they would "force" Russia to attack again. Amnestys position seems to be that nobody is allowed to defend themselves.
They have totally lost the plot.
It is what it is so you'll have to make up your own mind about how likely it is to be from Ukraine.
There's not even the slightest evidence that Ukraine has put civilians 'in harm's way'. Many of the atrocities have involved missile attacks on civilian targets such as hospitals, theatres and shopping malls. Amnesty appear to be claiming that if there is military activity near a working hospital, then the Russians are justified in bombing that hospital.
