I do love it when someone has the gall to post something knowing it is not the full story. But sure fook it fits my agenda so I will post it.
I won’t have what he is having as I can already see the side effects. Look at what the Kool Aid did to Jim and Co.
It doesn't even refute the direct quote from RTE that kicked it all off.
No mention of the homeless family figures on the rise. As has been said, looks like housing will be the new health, just left to fester.
So what country will be now in our lexicon alongside Angola? Will they hijack Rwanda from the UK?
Maybe because they have a strong Nuclear sector which makes them less immune to energy price shocks?
Do you want Ireland to build Nuclear Power plants?
I'm posting context to Ireland's inflation figures.
There are some here who are foolish to believe that we, or the government can control inflation but most of it is beyond our control.
Oh this again? Take the figures as a lesson learned BB.
Maybe, as you repeatedly remind me, some context in your post might have been helpful, but your conveniently not addressing the glaring omission and the reason for it, obviously you missed it 😉,
I spent 5 seconds looking at the list, then checked why the ommision of France, didn't take long to work it out, the reactions on Twitter speak for themselves 😉
Eh, what are you blathering about now?
France was committed from the Tweet, it was not my Tweet, but if you want to die on a hill for it, grand... off with you, as its not that clever of a point to make.
The point was that Ireland is about average when it comes to EU inflation, not the best in class, not the worst in class... but average.
No Blathering Marko, your the one deflecting from your faux pas, come on admit it, you've presented a list with no context, tried to spin it as a good news story and hadn't even bothered to check was there countries missing with lower inflation than Ireland, we all make mistakes, it's not that bad, honestly.
I'm not getting into a deflection back and fourth for an entire afternoon, again. Inflation, inflation, inflation 😉 and besides our current rate is more than likely to increase so what the purpose of your post earlier hoped to achieve is beyond ME.
Good afternoon.
I think you are reading waaaaay to much into it. At least I'm willing to back up what I post... ;)
Anyway, fact is that Irelands inflation rate in around the EU average. That was my point. I sense it upsets lots of people though.
I'm not really but certainly did check out the Tweet and the reactions to it,
Now I'm out.
Did you skim over the part where its not refuting what I quoted?
You posted a tweet ffs.
Sure they are just figureheads, until there's an item can be used for propaganda.
I would consider it, if not for the potential unmittedgated crony balls FF/FG would make of it. A Denis O'Brien supplied Geiger mandatory for every home. Paschal's uber driver on the board. Jobs for the boys on a regulatory board. Politicians pals suspiciously buying up land before the site is announced. Billions upon billions over budget. Then selling it for a song to some private company to manage, which hires former politicians for the board....I could go on, I really could.
This is where he got it all from and unless he's technically adept enough to extract it into a cool formatted list it's cut and paste stuff. It's not a conspiracy, it's just user error yet again.
I've seen we're the list has come from and clearly intended for an English audience , I've not suggested any conspiracy but highlighted a glaring omission of a country with less inflation than Ireland, besides its hardly relevant when it's pretty certain we've not seen the last of inflation rate increases here.
YOu said that Ireland had the highest inflation in the EU. Which is as wrong as one gets.
I think the tone of this post sums up where you are coming from and all your posts on this thread. Clear as day.
I did. Congratulations. I did originally and after that error, post the direct quote from RTE again to clarify, which you keep tip toeing around. You've also completely ignored the rise in homeless families. So all I can see here is you looking for a win rather than a discussion.
Is he wrong? Would you trust no jobs for the boys or cronyism to be involved?
Thank you. I do try to be clear.
Be honest, this is very likely the scenario. I am drawing from a FG personal driver getting on the board of IW. Biffo getting hired by Dinny. The NCH over run. The numerous crony appointments. The siteserv sweet deal still under investigation. The Moriarty findings gathering dust. Dinny getting the mobile, water meter, broadband contracts.
FF/FG would be slipping on their own drool at the prospect of all the strokes they could pull.
It's actually been a very quite day politically , MM visiting the blasket Islands yesterday Heather Humphries announcing more funding , actually FFG were trying to out do each other this morning taking credit for the little good new there was , Pics attached, rather pathetic actually.
Pat Donovan talked about pushing daisy's up before Ireland would have enough wind power generation etc on Claire Byrne show,, terribly bland day, Summer recess I guess 🤔
But dissatisfaction brewing , its like pressure cooker about to blow its lid off , discontent over increasing prices , Housing, Health services, 2 hospitals bursting at the seams yesterday and its only early August.
Some kite flying about a new 30% Tax rate from Paschal, Tax on Energy companies profits , MM Saying more room re a cost of living budget etc etc , all sounding positive, But, But, But .......
Italy were omitted too. They've not had nuclear power since 1990.
So that's France and Italy were omitted from that list.
Strange that. Hardly 2 insignificant EU countries.
Afternoon , I mentioned Italy's omission too earlier an somehow not picked up 😏
To be clear I'm not suggesting conspiracy theories or anything like that, but let's be honest here, when you're compiling a list of significant EU countries, After Germany, France and Italy definitely are up there.
Odd they were omitted from the list.
I'm not either, just mentioning I'd raised Italys omission too but got some story about Nuclear Energy in France so to speak .
Wow and I thought Tweets were bad until Mark sailed in here with his
I can describe whats going on in here in one song and I have been a fan of this song since it was released 36 years ago. So I am not coming of a Stranger Things vibe.
Faaaaantastic song!
It certainly is.
