Shane Duffy just joined Fulham so that's another good option for Triple Captain
Perisic & Darwin
Or
Robbo & Wilson
A side note on Spurs:
*shudders*
Perisic and Darwin prob won't start GW1, but long term I would prefer them.
I'm not keen on Wolves at all so that feeds into both why I don't want Neto and why I'm keen on Leeds. Harrison had a massive season two years ago, it was a striaght shoot out between him and Rodrigo, I'm still not 100% convinced not to go Rodrigo. I already have Trippier and Wilson, while I think Newcastle will go well its a big shout to go with three of them and as I said I'm hot on Leeds
I've taken out Doherty, torn between risking Sessegnon or going with Castagne.
Guaita is going back in due to this, couldn't be risking not having a keeper
A mate just sent me this:
Well I might stick to my threemium draft + Jesus at this stage. Sick of looking at it. Likely use wildcard after a few gameweeks anyway. Obviously depth is a worry with any threemium draft but I think I've done as well to cover it as possible. Would have liked Cancelo but downgraded to Walker to get Perisic in. Even though I expect he might not start week 1.
Ward/Iversen
James-TAA-Walker-Neco-Perisic
Bailey-Salah-Andreas-Son-Neto
Jesus-Haaland-Archer
Robbo Wilson
Like it - gone very similar and hoping to get that fast start!
Where I am at as of now.
Haven’t really gone into too much thought. Just looking to get going.
Doubts over Ebiowei and cucurella.
Any simple changes anyone would make
wanted salah son and Jesus. Will Nunez play.
For every "Perisic wont start" thread, comment or tweet, you'll equally find the same that say he's guaranteed to start. He is an absolute unknown. Could be score 15+pts? Yes it's possible. Could he not play this GW, or come off at HT? Yes, it's possible. If you want to pick him, great, but be prepared he might not play. I just know there's gonna be a storm of "I told you so" here and particularly on twitter.
Very difficult because I love Wilson as an asset but an injury transfer waiting to happen.
For that reason alone I’d go with the former. I am wanting to reduce my time playing FPL this season so I will be making those kind of decisions.
Talk to me
Take Dalot out of your team
Love the Almiron pick
Think I'm there now. No Salah a big gamble but I'm happy to go against him to start. Just think Son + 1m can beat him (with TAA/Robbo/Diaz as my liverpool Triple up.) Jesus is so highly owned but I really don't like the palace fixture tonight and at those ownership levels the only way is down for his price. Hoping Wilson+0.5m is the way to go. Walker/Dias to cover Cancelo. Want cancelo ofc but only route I can see to him is w/double LEI keepers and Bailey who I don't quite trust. Happy with the rest. Best of Luck to everyone!!!
Ten Hag seems to have a bit of a hard on for him. Want to cover all bases for the clean sheets in the event the big 4/5 teams get clean sheets. Had thought of using Martinez instead as the UTD representative on my team
I wonder is it better to find a Perisic replacement from the start and bring him in a few weeks time, or just bench him?
I would be playing Bailey. I kinda should back Bailey as he has some form and good fixtures but the option of picking a new player is tempting.
Bernardo Silva and Van Djik
or
Trippier and Bowen???
Ward
James, TAA, Cancelo
Kulu, Salah, Bruno G, Rashford
Haaland(c), Greenwood, Jesus
Ramsdale, Gilmour, N. Williams, Collins
Not a fan of 3 up front TBH. Nothing in the bank so open to suggestions.
Will Gilmour play if I put him in instead of Greenwood or do I need to swap him for someone else?
Edit: I see Gilmour is still at Chelsea. I thought he'd be at everton when I selected the team. Right so I do need to switch it up.
Think I'm settled on Harrison over Rodrigo
changed my team again to this.
Mendy/Sanchez
Dias, Cash, White, Robertson, Jansson
Salah, Mount, Soucek, Bailey, Schlupp
Kane, Jesus, Mbeumo
Zaha, Ings, Guimaraes out
Soucek, Schlupp, Jesus in +1.5m itb
Still unsure who to bench in MF, love an auld GW1 punt! And can maybe downgrade bench to a 4.5 Mid then.
Other than that, it's as template as it gets.
Slight tweaking here:
Ward - (Iverson)
TAA - Trippier - Walker (Williams - Patterson)
Salah - Rashford - Martinelli - Bailey (Andreas)
Kane - Haaland - Jesus
So I've got 4 x 4.0 players in my team, but 0.5 ITB to play around with and help solve any arising issues!
Basically swapping Sancho to Rashford and getting Iverson has given me a cash injection. It's not perfect, but it's where I'm at barring any last minute wobbling.
Similar to mine, can't see myself swaying at this stage:
Sanchez / Ward
TAA Trippier Walker White (N.Williams)
Salah Rashford Neto (Bailey Pereira)
Kane Jesus Haaland
Quality team name!
Think I'm settled. More comfortable with 3-5-2 than 3-4-3.
Andreas, Kulu, Salah(c), Bruno G, Rashford
Haaland, Jesus
Ramsdale, Greenwood, N. Williams, Collins
@Mr.Prodston It's been a while since there's been more than one outstanding striker. I think it's a case of either/or with Kane and Haaland myself if Jesus is a must have. Martinelli let me down a bit last season. Has he been killing it pre-season?
After much to-ing & fro-ing, I'm going with the following:
Raya (Ward)
TAA Robertson Cancelo Zinchenko (N. Williams)
Salah(c) Zaha ASM Martinelli (Andreas)
Haaland Jesus (Greenwood)
Had Mount & Almiron in place of Zaha & ASM for ages, but eventually decided to spread the funds a bit more evenly. Lack of Spurs assets is something to be wary of, but can't have 'em all & a balanced team. Will be logging off for the evening & going with the above. GL all.
