Then start guessing countries. It's like a game of hot/cold, it'll highlight your guess in different shades of red/orange/yellow based on proximity to the 'country of the day', and give you an approximate distance between the borders of your guess country and the answer.

Some days are tough (think land-locked independent regions like Lesotho and San Marino, etc), or it'll be a tiny little island nation. Sometimes your first guess is close, sometimes you're halfway around the world. It's a great challenge!

that date was San Marino - tough when it's a tiny country within another country

San Marino, Vatican City, Monaco, Eswatini, Lesotho are all examples of such, and have all come up from time to time (and totally messed up my stats 🤣)
