The lack of Spurs in my team is a big concern. I think they’ll do well. But if I go Kane or Son I need to take out the spread of some cash.
Im settling on 2 premiums too.
Not sure how anyone can be sure that going one way or the other is huge mistake
Eriksen is unlikely to start. Mings had the captaincy taken off him and is unlikely to start. What happens if Leicester sign a goalie next week, do you have 0.5m in the bank to buy a new goalie?
You think Alvares is going to see enough game time? Zaha has three bad fixtures in the first four, why not just wait until you WC and get him then? You're betting in them upsetting the odds and then betting on Zaha to be the one doing the upsetting.
I also prefer Digne to Cash but I'd prefer Doc or Tripps to either
I think he will see enough game time.
very different option to what they have & will score plenty of goals. Not set there yet & could go to Johnson or Mitrovic but waiting on them.
Palace have 3 out of 5 at home. Zaha on pens & they were very impressive pre season. I’m not too worried about fixtures this early in season.
But I Do agree with feedback to some extent
Going with this.
Got 3 Arsenal players which I have not done since the Henry/Pires/Cole days!! Martinelli is the one I would probably change but cannot see many viable options in that price bracket.
2 Spurs
2 Liverpool
2 City
Don't like putting all my eggs in 4 teams but that's they way it worked out.
To hell with it - if they take off I am laughing, if not a -4 in GW 3 with 3 changes or a wild card will sort it out.
Playing around with this draft below, would rotate Williams/Pereira as a starter which isnt ideal but gives Spurs and Man City coverage in attack
Sanchez/Ward (rotate well)
TAA, Cancelo, White, N.Williams, Patterson
Salah, Son, Martinelli, Bailey, Pereira
Haaland, Jesus, Greenwood
Final two drafts (maybe)
The 5-3-2
Ramsdale
Trent Robbo Cancelo Dias James
Martinelli Bailey Salah
Jesus Haaland
The 4-4-2
Trent Robbo Cancelo Trippier
Salah Mount Martinelli Bailey
Main difference is James & Dias vs Mount & Trippier. B is probably more balanced but the big at the back is tempting.
I really dont like going defence early in the season, would you keep James over Robbo and upgrade Trippier to Perisic maybe?
Robbo's a non negotiable for me. Conte's comments on Perisic put me off so torn on him now. But I could do Ramsdale to Sanchez to get the extra .5. Just think Ramsdale is good value with their fixtures though. I like Trippier despite the City and Pool fixtures, can bench him for those. Walker is an option for that 5m spot too but god knows what Pep will do.
I've a similar team and always had Jesus in but I've just taken him out to get Diaz in. Who knows.
You could do Cancelo -> Dias & Cash -> Perisic + 0.5 ITB
He played 26 & 33 games in the last two seasons. Newcastle haven't exactly filled their boots with midfielders this summer. Murphy is admittedly a case of making room for other players but it's a hopeful one rather than my usual story of filling the bench with duds. It also hinges on Broja. I can easily downgrade Broja and add a more reliable 5.5m midfielder.
Keepers set. TAA, Trippier, Neco, Salah, Mount, Andreas, Jesus, Kane and Archer set.
Flip flopping between the following:
A: Ruben Dias, Cash, Luis Dias and Martinelli + 0.5 itb
B: Robbo, Walker, Saka, Neto
Would appreciate any opinions.
Very similar myself, the big at the back screams the safe sensible option, but I just hate it!
I don't think Murphy will start.
Willock will get the nod over him most likely. Bruno & Joelinton will defo start.
There's a young lad Anderson who had a good season on loan and who's played a lot pre-season too, who's more attacking, he might even start ahead of Willock if Howe wants to go more attacking.
Actually Willock is attacking too so that last sentence doesn't really make sense 😆
Yeah even though they've all got an attacking threat, you're still hoping for 5 clean sheets!
I was actually going to mention Anderson, they stopped him going out on loan so he should see some game time.
Think it is down to
Kane and Odegaard
or
Son and mitrovic
Looking at Spurs training video, i don't think Persic will start tomorrow. There was a session with two teams playing each other, and one team was...
Lloris, Lenglet, Dier, Romero, Sessegnon, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Emerson, Son, Kulusevski, Kane.
Given the injuries and doubts over certain players (Doherty, Perisic etc...), that would make sense for a starting 11 tomorrow.
This is my team at the moment.
Mendy/Sanchez
Dias, Cash, White, Robertson, Jansson
Salah, Zaha, Mount, Bailey, Guimaraes
Kane, Ings, Mbeumo
Any comments in this BB team
Don't think Doherty will start tomorrow. Probably Emerson and Sess for the 1st game.
I think I am going to stick with it at least till WC. Tempted every year and don't do it. Time to see what happens, just annoying it's so template
Is that based on that training game? I saw another picture that had one team in bibs and it had Son, Kane, Perisic, Dier, Doherty all in it. I think training pics can be misleading. Contes presser seems to suggest Doherty will start, he may not but thats the most reliable source IMO.
But the risk might be too high on a BB
Like what you’re doing.
Im surprised you’re going with Harrison, against a good defensive team, for the opening GW.
I’m assuming you’re unfortunately 0.5m short on going with ASM for that spot.
I think I’d rather even go with Neto against Leeds for that spot.
I’d echo Kiith’s opinion.
You really don’t want a non starter on your BB.
Assuming you’re planning on WC fairly soon I’d look at a different 5.0m defender that will definitely start.
Or a 4.5m defender and use that 0.5m to move Harrison to ASM.
I can’t be sure but any team I’ve seen with 3 premiums has been very unbalanced and has far too many weak spots.
Spending 35ish million on 3 players is too much at this stage. This may change if some viable cheaper options start to perform.
I tend to agree. I had a look at a Salah, Son, Haaland draft and its just too risky. Starting Neto, Bailey and a cheap defender every week.
