The 1st line of the article is "If Confirmed".. And it wasn't confirmed.
It was an unconfirmed rumour at the time which was completely refuted by a Video released in last year where he talked about a variety of recent events thereby verifying that the video was new.

So the phone records were meant to be made available initially. When did Jones lawyers get hold of them?
Did they release them deliberately, or once they had made the mistake whilst they could say they were protected and the other side couldn't use them at that instance... The other side then knew they existed so Jones lawyers had no option but to release them or subsequently get disbarred or something and they get released anyway.

I don't think this can be underestimated how serious this is, not just for Jones, but for the Jan 6th commission. Jones was in contact with Trump on the day itself and presumably before and after, either on normal channels or to Trump on one of his burners. All those texts will be surrendered over one can assume.

If Jones lawyers had said the files were shared by mistake though, would the other lawyer be allowed to speak of their existence? The fact that the files exist is serious for Jones lawyers, and the others can't unsee them and is surely obliged to tell the judge of their existence.
If they don't tell of the files existence then they get discovered at a later date it then becomes a big problem for the other lawyers in not having spoken of them is they should have been made available right at the start of proceedings.
Jones' lawyer send the plaintiff's lawyers a message: "Please disregard." They stated to the Judge that, that has no legal standing and the Judge agreed. This was in the article llinked above.
Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is a civil trial, not criminal, the Judge has a lot more leeway.

Wow Dick Cheney somehow being morally superior to Trump. Sorry but to me Trump actually cares about America. I genuinely believes he is disturbed by the decline in America, the erosion of standards, the selling out of the people.
I know posters in this thread view Trump as simultaneously incompetent and stupid but also a grave threat. But to me he is a force for good in the world (but with a healthy side order of bluster and embarrassment).
To borrow a phrase, Trump is not the here American wants, but he is what they need.
