Almost as bizarre as blaming the Central Government for Local Authority ineptitude.
@markodaly , you should take that up elsewhere, I've not blamed anyone , just sharing a link on PQ's 😏
So you have no interest or opinions on the stuff you share?
@markodaly as you well know I do which you rarely debate, so to speak 😏 good afternoon.
More interest in having a go than discussing anything. If it was a purely government issue there'd be no response.
Touché
Is there no hotel rooms, free meals, free gp, free meals for these EU citizens?
The NTMA have cancelled this month's proposed debt auction on account of that surplus and unemployment is now down at 4.2%, a 21 year low. That's very close to full employment.
An excellent point and article but without going off topic, I can testify it was exactly the same, back in 1989 albeit hidden.
The problem is the last time we had it good they sold off public land and stopped building social housing. We got the spire, a clock in the liffey and told where to go.
Yeah, that was the kickoff of the madness in 2000, but very different times now and it's not FF on their own. Some better news on housing would also be welcome even if annoyed the Opposition.
On the button with this one!

"better news on housing would also be welcome even if annoyed the Opposition"
Better news in housing might go some way to solve the housing crisis and the rising homelessness, but no let's annoy the opposition
That's all a given anyway but such news would scupper their hopes of getting into government.
Problem is they are making it worse not solving the problem
Nobody can really say but plenty claim that. There's a whole lot of building going on and it takes up to 2 years for some of it to be finished. We do, however, need to start to see some real progress by the end of next year.
Govt have been in charge for over 2 years now, are we waiting another 2 years?
So far we have rising prices, less supply, higher rents, less rental properties available, rising social housing waiting lists, more and more people needing HAP etc
Like waiting lists in hospitals the waits just get longer
The Government may be looking at a windfall tax on energy companies in September's Budget. LNG is also not fully off the table.
The opposition have been calling for this for a long time
FG have consistently followed suite. Its FG broke homeless records in all categories and then went into coalition with FF, (officially).
The only difference in the times is its gotten worse.
How come you aren't posting one of your critiques on how none of us debate issues just go after other commentators? Is it because you'll seem like a hypocrite?
I think, Senator Ned O Sullivan a little confused about whats actually damaging FF election prospects 🤔
@markodaly can't you get it , it's you that wants (Alledgedly) to Debate , you've spent the entire day badgering for a response, I've politely explained there is nothing to debate or even discuss ,why you persist is beyond me. I've linked to a Tweet ,relevant to the Thread and a topic previously discussed and ridiculed and the Tweet and its contents are pretty clear and not requiring much explanation.
My numerous responses to this bizzare back & Fourth suggest I'm running away from nothing.
I'm sure there's something else you like to discuss after all these hours of persistent badgering 🤔
You've a point. The opposition TD should go to all the councillors and give them the business. Sure he's no authority with the local authority, and the government parties have more councillors and the minister for housing is also the minister for local authorities, but yeah.
Be honest, you thought you had a little win but are still chasing it. I'd rather discuss things than wait in the long grass to see if people trip up.
This may be of interest ;)
Indeed and so are the reactions and in particular the rather odd omission of France 😉
France being only 5.84% didn't suit the narrative. Italy is 8% also not included
Indeed, Context dear Chap, Context 😁 Italy too missing and their government has collapsed, so to speak.
The context here is more likely that he just forgot! Occam's Razor and all that.
The Account holder (Twitter) didn't, and was invited to comment and update the list and hasn't 🤔, seems I get criticism for posting twitter links, I've chosen not to be critical just highlighting glaring omissions and context.
