I’m always tempted and it’s a really great spec as well I think. I think with the whole uncertainty in how the economy is going is helping me relax on these things quite a bit and making me more patient. If things go south l, it could all change again very quickly and these high priced cars could be brought down a bit again as people have less money in their pockets and become nervous spending.
I'd say you would be hard pressed to order a new one with the same spec now given the chip shortage and BMW taking certain equipment out of cars as a result.
I have a feeling we are going into a big recession but I still don’t see any significant softening of values as there is so little stock out there and particularly nice stuff. Before Brexit a used m340i could be brought in at a reasonable enough price. That’s not happening now and isn’t good to change.
personally I wouldn’t put my money into a big petrol or Diesel engine now though.
Speaking of 340i's
An older add and older car - 2016.
Really hard to figure if this is good value or not based on the market. Spec is on the low side especially compared to the one above. Also believe this was bought for just over 30k at the start of the year. Add is up a while but difficult to find private buyers at this price point.
I remember posting this exact car in the bangernomics thread 4 or 5 years ago for €1500
Times are a-changin'
I never really understood the Glanza, is it just a regular 1.3 Starlet with sportier looks?
Normal Starlet is 74bhp
Glanza S is 88bhp. The Limited spec like the one in the link had the body kit like the V
Glanza V (turbo) is 130bhp
Glanza V are actually 135bhp but despite the engine having a extra cylinder than my car and being 333cm^3 capacity more my car makes more torque for some reason(I have no idea why either especially when one is designed for power and mine a normal car). Also those Glanza are really light too which makes them fastish.
The 4efte will take 220bhp on standard internals, they've a massive following and a lot of aftermarket parts
I wonder what brave soul thought this would be a great colour in the flesh?

Being honest I really think that looks well, it's nice to see a new car that isn't grey, black or white
Crazy money too, I paid a lot less for mine last summer and it has the full leather and 19s.
I think there are nicer finishes in yellow out there than that one but yellow would still be very low down near the bottom of my list of colour choice
Indeed, prices just gone up and up now similar with most hot hatches now.
Not a particularly attractive looking car, anyhow.
Any thoughts on this chaps? Its for a family member who is keen. Seems alright to me, nothing in particular sticking out
Your man selling it has very good attention to detail. I’ve dealt with him a few times. Always changes the radios, changes language to english, full detail, full service etc etc.
..
Sold now. Did you buy it?
Yep, bought it tonight. Would definitely recommend the seller. Nice experience from start to finish
CHAPE TAX anyone?
Could this really be taxed as a commercial vehicle?
2005 BMW 550i for 25k:

I think I remember this car being for sale for ages over the years passing from trader to trader. I think it's the same car anyway.
If you have a VAT number for your business or farm it can be taxed as a commercial.
It's just a pity it isn't a three-door.
In the market of a Touring due to family requirements, but they are quite rare in decent spec. What do you guys think about this one. looks decent with M Sport bits and bigger alloys.

No mention of a service history in the ad. I'd probably do a history check on it too seeing as though it's a swimmer.
What a car! €22950 now.
Buying it is only the beginning though, running it is the real issue though. You can buy M5's of similar age in UK for 15k. Nothing for a 500bhp+ car.
Hopefully someone buys it and enjoys it.
being generous I’d say it’s about 12,950 overpriced
My old Honda city, I sold this in 2020 for about 1500 quid
Wonder what the fuel economy is like with that carb.
it could be heavy enough all things considered.
even with the auto box it was brilliant, a little license loser. It has a nice sounding stainless steel exhaust and a 7k rpm so it was easy to be egged on by it
Has anyone used Well Priced Cars in Swords before? Saw a nice car recently there but they seem to have zero online mentions
