Yeah, I remember a story from early on of a 70 year old grand mother that was providing intelligence on russian positions! They haven't learned from Afghanistan, they have no hope of holding such unfriendly territory.
...
Now if only the Ukrainians had the same museums in their towns and villages......they'd be laughing 😂
Somewhere.
Over the rainbow.

A really stupid question but could a HIMAR round hit a submarine?
Obviously stationary and on the surface it probably could? But underwater?
Just thinking outside the box now. 🤪
Beechcraft Guardrails operating over Lithuania at the moment.
Here is some info on their mission.
From 2019, the United States Army actively deploys the Beech RC-12X Guardrail to Lithuania where they conduct Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions along the border with Belarus and Kaliningrad on a near daily basis. Kaliningrad is an Oblast federal subject and exclave of Russia located on the coast of the Baltic Sea.
The Guardrails are operated by Company D/204th Military Intelligence Battalion Vigilant Hunters. The home base of this unit is at El Paso/Biggs AAF (TX), also known as Fort Bliss. In Lithuania the aircraft operate from Siauliai Air Base.
I doubt they'd do anything to a submarine at depth, would have to be able to locate it first.
If Ukraine had ATACMS they could hit them in Sevastopol and I believe novorossiysk (if the Yanks gave the green light).
The letter from the Aras last week notwithstanding, the calls for support for Ukraine to stop to avoid prolonging Ukraine’s defeat have become deafening by their silence.
Where have they slinked off to? I’d like them (those not banned) to give an update on their beliefs that the Ukrainian’s should just get on with being governed by war criminal, rapists, murders and plunderers… I’m sure there’s quite a few of us looking forward to their current takes on the war.
They were busy with the China gonna take over the world threads
A 300 km radius precision strike capability would soon drive the ragtag Russian ‘army’ back to the Russian border. I’m okay with that level of embarrassment being meted out to the Russians. Then reparations and such can be discussed.
I think a few of them now hang out in the “Ukrainian refugees” thread, bandying around the usual unsubstantiated nonsense, dismissing anything positive about Ukraine or it’s people, glorifying any negative about them, and in general, looking like dicks.
Ever see the episode of the Simpsons where Bart persists in reaching out to grab the cupcake hooked up to electricity?
Oh me too, the only negotiations with russia that should be entertained is should their surrender be in blue or black ink?
Written in Putin’s post-mortem blood would also be acceptable.
If at first you succeed… try, try again 😀
A lot of the closet Putin fans / apologists who claim to be in favour of peace don't actually like Ukraine or Zelensky. They've bought into the propaganda that he really is a "Nazi", is deeply corrupt, a troublemaker etc.
Personally I think Ukrainian corruptions are a side issue, inflated to bolster people's agenda. All countries are corrupt to some degree. London is/was one of the most corrupt cities in the world vis-a-vis laundering oligarchs money. Highlighting Ukrainian corruption at this point is spiteful.
Careful with that axe Eugene-
Russia accidentally blows up its own supply train – Russian invasion of Ukraine / The New Voice of Ukraine
Ukraine is pretty corrupt. But it is also trying to improve that (and moving away from Russia's influence is a huge part of that) and as you say, its also a complete sideshow to the invasion. They have corruption problems so its ok for Russia to level their cities and murder their citizens? The have corruption problems so should give up all ideas of statehood and be subservient to the dictatorship next door? Its just idiotic.
I don't agree with her visit but this is an impressive entrance
Missile attack in Chervonohrad district of Lviv region
first time in a while
Ukraine is a highly corrupt country and comparisons with London are utterly wide of the mark. Zelensky got elected on an anti corruption platform as it's a problem on every level of society, and by all accounts the population were not impressed with the job he was doing to change things.
However all that is utterly irrelevant to the current conflict, those are issues Ukraine can work on if/when this conflict ends. And I suspect they will do serious work on it. If there was ever any doubt before about whether to orient towards the EU or towards Russia (an even more corrupt country) it's gone now.
yes it is impressive. But, I welcome her visit. China can PFO (without the P).
That looks like it's from a train derailment that happened near the Chita 2 station of the Trans-Baikal railway in September 2017.
TypxaNews used the same footage on April 25th.They claimed it was a Russian train that was sabotaged by Ukrainian partisans near Bryansk.
CNBC have it plain and simple. The Russian economy is up the spout and no amount of denial or muppetery/ rhetoric can divert away from that.
Oh dear, what will the "sanctions aren't working" crowd say now 🤔
Head off to the "Ukrainian Refugees" thread to regurgitate more nonsense I daresay.
I have to say I always thought Russia would eventually just wear them down by the usual route of pur attrition. Russias power is basically that they can inflict any amount of damage to their own citizens and stay in control. And the West weakness is our strength, that we have individual liberty and people will not suffer for long. But it seems that they have managed to cause so many headaches for Russia that the west might actually wear them down. Inevitably it will be a stalemate in Ukraine but Russia are looking at a dark decade. The danger is you ostracize them to such a degree that the end up with even worse belligerent leadership.
Nice PR stunt
However Pelosi flew in during the night
