Yeah, it’s a bit of a head scratcher, it came out of nowhere. It doesn’t happen on flat surface or from a standing start.
While I don’t have the Tesla yet, same happened with the ID3 also when going over speed bumps, no other issues, happened few times, then disappeared , I didn’t call any one and was not overly worried, just wait and watch !
Hi, have my RWD model 3 since March, and I’ve noticed in the last couple of weeks my traction control light going off under normal acceleration. It only seems to happen when going over speed bumps or uneven surface I’ve been in contact with Tesla and they logged on remotely and can’t find any faults and seem to think it’s behaving normally . I had to replace a rear tyre back at the start of May because of a puncture, I got the exact same tyre and all pressure’s are the same. Anybody else have same issues ?
Activity at Shanghai Port as Tesla prepares for another huge shipment. For anyone who has not seen this level of scale watch at the 3 minute section of the Youtube vid...for those who have, apologies. Helps give better understanding of logistical challenge of deliveries to their new owners.
Good call @slave1
Noticed last weekend, when I finally gave the car a good clean and polish, that even with the paint protection film applied when new 42k ago, I have gotten some impact marks in the door aperture edge just where the stone chip film ends. There is a reason why Peugeot and others started to use extra protection at the lower door aperture corners back in the early 90's.
Pictures to follow as well as list of products when I get it sorted out. A couple of the marks are through the paint so it's a good to plan to get it nipped in the bud before any further deterioration. Middle of the bonnet lid has also an impact mark, as well the RHD wing, so will get those touched up at the same time.
Apart from these small issues the paint looks really good and unmarked on our 2021 MIC build.
This is the one we have and its also anti-glare so less fingerprints show up. The applicator makes it very easy to get right first time. We had it with us when we picked up so there were no fingerprints underneath.
These? https://youtu.be/fHEnm5iOQc8
I was worried about the lack of buttons but I got used to it. For example the AC is alway on auto and because even the seats heaters are on the auto settings I don't need to fiddle with buttons. I whish they would add the driving wheel on the same setting. It takes me 3-5 minutes to reach the car from when I lock the house door so if I start the climate I find the car at pleasant temp. For the wipers there is manual control. I use voice commands to fold mirrors when driving on narrow roads, although if you're in a telephone conversation that's a bummer. For media control there is the left wheel but the voice control works most of the time. I didn't dictate messages. I find android auto în the other car better at handling various messages sources. So all in all don't buy them just yet. Give it a try first and then decide for yourself.
A 'back on thread' attempt!
Does anybody here have the S3XY buttons? Are they worth it? Are the just a gimmick? Does the voice command function within the Model 3 eliminate the requirement for the S3XY buttons?

All true and also understandable. Reporting financial results is key to them and there is always a frenzy around quarter end. You will also see that cars often appear in inventory around these times as the cogs turn to ensure there are no unsold cars on their books.
Yeah, remember some folk were scheduled for delivery on Christmas week last year, and there was Zero chance Tesla would hold the cars for a week or so so folk could get a 221 ref as opposed to a 212 reg….
they were told if they declined, the next person waiting on the list would get their car….. and they’d have to wait til March for a car…..
Tesla don’t care about reg plates, they only care about getting cars delivered before quarter end…… and no amount of sweet talking them will change this policy.
They say that they can only hold for a max of one week. Otherwise they allocate to the next in line. I also believe that if dates converge around quarter end (Sept 30) that such flexibility may be more stringent as Tesla move heaven and earth to ensure all cars are delivered by these dates and they are not holding stock. It is only cars that are actually delivered and passed to customer that count as sales in their accounting. Just be sensitive to this.
I emailed the salesman that I’ll be away toward end of August, he emailed delivery team, who contacted me to say car is not here yet and once they receive it they will adjust delivery date.
They can be quite pedantic about it. A guy in the uk lost his car as he was away for 2 days around collection and they wouldn’t reschedule.
id ask them once you get the option to pick a slot.
What happens if you are away during your delivery date? Do they just hold it for you? I'm picking it up in Dublin as they don't seem to deliver outside.
That would be awesome!
I'd expect these to come back in - arrival in Zeebrugge approx 15th August, add on a week for transport to Ireland and then delivery slots across the last week in August...that's my two cents
Hope im wrong for a few at least :)
If somebody has the ability to search my posts, I posted 2 weeks ago to expect last 2 weeks of September as the busy delivery timeframe.
Me toostill waiting on trade in price, it's been a few days now so fingers crossed it's offered tomorrow.
It's likely to be lower than other offers.
My EDD also moved 2-16 September
The new dates seem to tie in with what the fella in the shipping thread over on the Tesla forum is saying so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.
Seems like a lot (almost all) of the EDD's for Ireland deliveries have moved outa few weeks to September. I have seen this happen before and then move again so I am trying not to read too much into it. I realise it can be an anxious time for all and particularly if the new EDD's fall when you are outside the country..like me. I will try to remain positive and hope for further movement as the ships make further progress
I still have to get the carbon frame protectors, had to use em without for first spin as nobody had em. U would want to overtighten the clamp like a mofo to damage tho
It's great, I mean I don't have much to compare it too as I've only owned this one. Easy to install, looks good. Works.
They also sell a pack of 2 together that is slightly cheaper.
Thanks, these looks great. I will look into them.
noooooooooooooo! oh well, still get it for my birthday...
Bought 2 of these:
Note for kids bikes they are not ideal if its a real small bike, perfect for adult bikes. Rock solid.
Thank you, this is very helpful. I really appreciate the photos and the advice. I was considering a tow bar and hadn’t seen these warnings.
This looks like a great option for two adult bikes (one road bike and one hybrid) and a kids bike. I presume you bought the Tesla roof bars. Which Thule carriers did you decide on.
