i ordered mine last year on 8th December 2021 & picked it up on the 18th so a 10 day turnaround , it was on a boat when i ordered it
After spending half an hour on hold to AIB I have been told that they have not recieved my application even though I submitted it to Tesla on the 15/7/22

I'm relatively comfortable in that a VIN is assigned so at least I know there is a car there for me on its way - all that any finance holdup would do is potentially push me back in the pick-up window that Tesla Dublin will be operating within in late August
My VIN number is assigned in the source code but not on my Tesla app.
I still have the delivery date of the 3/8-17/8/22.
this is the part I am finding very frustrating with the Tesla experience that there is no one to ring all communication is by email and text .
Can understand it’s frustrating but best to accept this as the Tesla Business model in terms of managing your expectations. If you have found a VIN It is a concrete sign that a specific car has been allocated to your order. If ever you do get to speak to Tesla all they will say is that they are hopeful and will be in touch in due course. In my view I would not place too high an expectation on early August delivery ..more likely late August. Hope I am wrong for your sake.
There's a number you can ring after you log into your Tesla account. It's mainly sales but maybe they can relay to another person. Although the last two people I've been talking to were based in UK and they had to ping their Irish colleagues.
They are pretty quick picking up phone when I rang the last few times over the 2 months.
I found that the chat option (On the Model 3 configuration page) was the easiest way of communication when I needed prompt info. They were also normally pretty fast with EMails as well. Often the chat option is not available, but I often got lucky around 7 or 8pm.
I spoke to Tesla last night on the phone number on the order in my account.
Very nice rep told me the ship would arrive on the 24th of Aug and that cars would be available from the 25th onwards. Maybe take it with a grain of salt ofc.
Just sold my trade-in to Honda, nearly 3k more than I was getting from Tesla.
The dealer also loaning me a car for the next 2 weeks, will need to arrange something else until delivery.
Great result....now you can relax and get ready for your car...

If that was accurate many people would have confirmed pick up appointments....those dates make more sense for August. 🤔

Thought so! The next 2 Tesla car carriers are Morning Chorus and Glovis Summit. These are due before the 24th, I would say more like the start of the delivery window some folks have 11th Aug. Gonna take a few days to get em from Europe to us, and then a detail and delivery.
Im hoping before 25th, as I'm away that week 😔
Those ships are not due to reach their European destination until 15/16/17 August and would then need to be shipped to Ireland. Hopefully before 25th for you!

Tesla are actively working on their handover experience but don’t expect a detail.
The legacy “premium” brands still ship their new cars out full of swirls, looking at you BMW!
It should be clean but not detailed clean.
I was quite happy the way mine came, not very clean but also no swirl marks evident.

I haven’t seen one new Tesla arrive without some swirls unfortunately.
Paint quality is vastly improved since MIC but the swirls come from the factory wipe down and dealer prep.
Although the lack of dealer prep may have helped here 🤣
Yes true, mine being white it would not be so noticeable, but there was a red one beside mine at delivery and it also looked good. The paint quality appears as good as any other recent cars we have had. I wont mention ☺️ a Skoda Superb I had where they put it through a roller washer on a frosty morning. Took them 2 days at a detailer to correct..
Mines white too. The white hides alot of the swirls compared to the darker colours that can be seen from the dark side of the moon 🤣
My 2020 ME was good. Quite a few paint flecks in the clear coat, but not a lot of swirls. At least I've a comparison for the MIC M3
