That's more like it BA , well done, well done π
So, everyone who doesn't agree with the Green fanaticism is a "climate change denier"? That's one of those propaganda tricks that tries to associate anyone questioning the secular religion of dimwitted fools with Holocaust denial. The Earth's climate has been continually changing since the planet was formed. There are some who consider that the current approaches, as promoted by climate change fundamentalists, to be misguided and not based on Science. The extreme stupidity of culling the Irish national herd while replacing that meat with meat imported from Brazil and which requires huge areas of the Amazon rainforest to be destroyed might appeal to the intellectually challenged but this problem of climate change requires a global solution rather than virtue signalling from idiots.
Regards...jmcc
Quelle surprise, you didn't acknowledge either of the items I mentioned
Excellent example of this thread.
Best of luck today, it is hilarious reading π΄
It's current affairs BA, if you can't handle it, maybe best you bail.
Have a good day, the current affairs will still be happening when your sabbatical ends.
There's a lot to unpack there.
I guess we can write off the last few weeks as an El NiΓ±o and be done with so?
Also, this "culling" of the National herd argument keeps coming up. They only people suggesting it are those who aren't willing to budge on any changes.
The national herd will need to be reduced, but no one is suggesting we do it all in one foul swoop. It's as moronic as it is crazy a suggestion.
What's a climate change fundamentalist?
I mean we have people on here who think the continuance of turbary rights is a step too far on the fight against obvious human induced climate change.
Anyway, again, enough to criticise this government with than arguing in such bad faith.
Quelle the surprise you typed one or 2 bits of exciting news , no expansion, therefore nothing to discuss , your getting there but as a teacher once told me, must do better Dempo π but my compliments on effort
They should be forced to defer holidays until there is an agreement. Why was something so important left so late? The trip to Japan/Singapore took priority??
Anyone that is interested in politics would know about them π
I'm afraid that trip and other virtue signalling nonsense take priority with these chancers .
The Japan trip turned out to be a week of denials and coblvering for Paschal, who still seems to be missing in action π
O I do , but had hoped you would be able to expand on the good news, A well π
My option 3 looking likely π
Backtracking..
You said the 'Greens have no intention to meet its targets'
Another glorious lie from ya.
Do you have your own position on emissions reduction, or are you waiting for someone to tell you what to think?
What is your own position Dempo, or are you waiting for a spin doctor to prod you to action?
I do. A target that is achievable would be nice for a change.
Incremental change that does as little harm to real people trying to survive amidst many other challenges AS I PREVIOUSLY SAID mark, if you were actually reading the thread.
I'd go further than that even by saying the Greens are so hidebound they haven't the foggiest notion of how to meet targets in a practicable workable way either.
What's another crisis ignored!
Couldn't give a Toss Marko if I'm being honest, I've more to concern myself than a few cows farting, my views on the Greens and their policies well known, and no I'm not a climate change denier.
Interesting articles about Brazil's massive expansion of its beef heard, you should check them out, essentially ER"s plan will infact be "Udderly" meaningless π
TouchΓ© π
Funny, you talk about a global solution to the issue of Climate Change, yet these talks about emissions reductions are a part of global and international agreements that are legally binding on for Ireland to meet its targets.
So these ARE part of the global solution to Climate Change JMCC.
Hair-brained stuff from you but also hilarious to see you that you don't have a clue about it all.
However, its clear you just outed yourself as a soft climate change denier.
To reduce the amount of pollutants in the air, Ireland has committed to reducing air emissions in national, EU and international agreements. These agreements contain targets that Ireland aims to meet within a certain time period, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030. Irelandβs current plan to reduce air pollution is set-out in theΒ Climate Action Plan 2021.
So what is that target then? You have to pick a number between 22% and 30%.
Or do you need someone to tell you what that number is?
OK, so you don't care, yet you seem to care enough to post here about it day in and day out.
It is fine if Climate Change doesn't matter to you, but unfortunately, it's happening and it's going to have a big impact. Not all of us have the luxury of sticking our heads in the sand, and deny that its happening. You have the right to your opinion of course and I can say your attitude and opinion of it is a disgrace and anti-science.
You do know that whatever figure they agree upon is nothing but a "target" & another can kicking exercise, will mean nothing in practice.
The political trick is to declare a figure that impacts minimum damage to the government parties.
This would be a good time to set up a commitee to conduct a report
O I do care Marko, enjoying watching FFFG implode, slowly, most gratifying π
Still no apology from yesterday π€, where did you dissappear to so suddenly, it was like magic π
'I' don't have to do any such thing mark.
The goal should be agreement with the sector on what can be realistically achieved instead of virtue signallers trying to impose bullshit targets.
We are ALL waiting for someone to tell us BTW and I'm running out of popcorn.
π€£ If the Green's don't walk away from government now they stand for nothing.
So they're going to spend the next six weeks trying to bridge the gap between 23.4 and 25.7. My guess they'll settle on 24.4935. Be down to the last ounce of CO2...
Agreed but as we know, they've proved to be shallow in the past, there Toast regardless, I'm not even convinced they've any dignity left to salvage π
Well some may say they've achieved nothing but i disagree, they've got a good TD's pension out of it so fair play to them.
I understood the original demand was 30% but to be honest, I lost interest in this particular shambles, so wasn't keeping up with percentages, but my, if that's we're they are at, it's even more farcical π
