At the risk of repeating ..granny chargers "WERE" included with deliveries for both Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 . We have not had any Q3 deliveries yet..
Watch the rsymons video on YouTube. He also supplies the kit as far as I know.
Booked in for charger installation at the end of August, should line up nicely with delivery in late August/early September (19aug-2sep edd.). Opted for Wallbox Pulsar Plus at 1300 EUR installation. (before SEAI grant)
Did you opt for €10 a month for the Wifi or you didn’t bother?
Who is doing that for you?
Carcharger.ie do it for €1199 and
Ecoplex do it for €1150.
Any difference between the 18 inch wheels and the 19 inch ones?
Had test drive today and one of the lads said he would recommend the 18 inch ones.
Cheers in advance
Is 900eur install fee for a Tesla charger a lot? This doesn't include the purchase of the charger, so total amount will come to 1500. Then grant reduces this obviously.
Agreed ....cheaper, more efficient range , more comfortable ride ....unless you value he look of the 19" more than these 3 combined. Bear in mind also that you can take off the Aero caps and have a different look to your 18" . Personal choice..
that’s correct €150 saving to the guy who was quoted €1300. Better in your pocket!
Tesla have been onto me and requested I upload my VLC/log book and also a settlement letter. I assume therefore I need to clear my outstanding finance on my trade in car BEFORE I can take delivery. That is a pain if so.
In the past, I would typically clear any finance as part of the new purchase process, this would all be handled by the dealer.
why don’t you get a quote for Zappi as well? I have it for almost 2 years now.
Don't assume ..call them and put your mind at ease
I suspect Tesla need the settlement figure from you as the intent would be that they retain that amount from the trade in value you have been given by them and that they would clear the settlement figure effectively getting clear title. Just speculative but i am sure they have handled these situations many times and are being proactive ahead of your delivery
Yes, I’ve sent some clarification questions via email. Will follow up with them tomorrow.
I’m going to see if I can sell my trade-in in the meantime, Im sure I can get a better price.
Formal notification of settlement figure makes sense.
Makes sense if you are prepared to take it on with all that entails. However, likely to be difficult to get timing right between a private sale and collection of new car. I have been through that but felt a better price was worth being without a car for a short period.
I’ve sold many cars privately over the years, can be a PITA and difficult when you get into 20k plus values.
I’m looking at selling via a friend, who is a main dealer. They sometimes sell cars on behalf of customers. I may be able to get a loaner for a week or two if needed.
Timing is everything as you said.
I would definitely be going the straight sale to dealer the way the market is at the moment. A few have told me they just cannot get good used cars. When I sold my previous VW back to VW (Not the garage I bought it from) I doubt I would have got much more selling it myself. And far less hassle, money was even in my bank account a few days before the agreed drop off date.
I was in the fortunate position that my son was working from home at the time so had the use of his car. I was prepared for a few months using it, but only took a few weeks in the end for my Model 3 to arrive.
I ordered on Sunday night, edd was Jan 2023. Grand job. Checked app on Monday morning, edd 13 to 31 Aug.
Went with white with 19 inch wheels, rang up to see if I could switch 19inch wheels to 18;s as recommended above, was told that I would go to the back of the queue and not sure when I would get it. Kept the 19's.
Missus loved the car today during the test drive, really like the acceleration and handling. I have been lurking here on the forums for a year now reading and learning, really looking foward to first new car in years.
Happy days.
I am still in the middle of selling mine but I have an offer which is €2,600 higher than the trade in price offered by Tesla already and I think I can get another €500 on top of that…
Can sense your excitement..you wont be disappointed and will love the car, exploring its features and tech. Its amazing you are getting one so soon
It’s possible that the 19 inch wheels is what got you so far up the list since the car you ordered has already been built. In saying that I wouldn’t be surprised if any ordered now came in this quarter.
I've submitted my car directly to a couple of main dealers for valuation and potential cash sale, I'll see how that goes!
I am shopping around as well, dropped the dealer I bought it from as well.
Massive range in offers from different companies plus or minus 4k on a 6 year old Tuscon. Its mad the difference.
Could you PM the places you're getting valuations from? I've checked my own car against 2 + Tesla directly so far and not really been happy with them.
Thats an amazing turnaround time - on par or quicker than the US. I ordered back in late April and its been the longest few months. Its all down to when you order and what spec that order is.
Countdown is on!
Just called AIB directly about my application made via Tesla as I've been waiting now since 15th for approval.
They said that as it was a joint application, bank statements for both parties are required but this additional statement was never requested by the Tesla rep who submitted on my behalf....😤
So just lost 1.5 weeks in approval - not the end of the world but still am eager to get all these finance bits and pieces closed off sooner rather than last minute.
I had a white with 19s on order but changed my order last week, so it's quite possible that you got my white order! I changed to black on 18s. I was warned that there was no guarantee that my EDD would stay the same if I updated my order but I chanced it anyway and I got a vin straight away on the black car with an EDD end of August.
If you're tempted to change to 18s, I'd advise changing colour because on the configurator a white on 18s has a much later EDD. If you really want white on 18s, I think you'd easily find someone to swap their 18s plus cash for your 19s.
I think the quickest turnaround we saw here was a Boardsie ordering a Model 3, and collecting it 5 days later….
What number did you ring with AIB as I have submitted two weeks ago and still no reply about finance
