How did Moscow mick escape the collaborator list
Stupid idea ( unless they are testing Putin's reaction) pandering to this man does not work....more impressive if every time Putin mentions "Nuclear Weapons", the west responds in like manner. Putin knows that nuclear weapons are end game,,,,even so called "Limited Strike" weapon's could escalate very quickly. Nope, the reality, like NATO, NAZI's etc. are all just a cover for his land grab.
Lovely people
Hopefully this gets traction in the local media for the shrill that she is.

A bit of confusion here : NATO hasn't offered anything of the sort, it's Pinker making the suggestion. The way he has (badly) worded it though makes it sound like NATO made the offer.
Security Service of Ukraine seized big amount of weapons (with silencers) in Dnipro city
Germany has delivered the promised Mars II MLRS to Ukraine. In addition, three more self-propelled howitzers were handed over, - Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD) says on Tuesday
German newspaper Welt and TV station n-tv report that three MARS-II MLRS systems have been delivered to Ukraine. That's a German license version of the M270 MLRS. Three additional PzH-2000 self propelled howitzers have also been delivered, according to Minister of Defence Christine Lambrecht. In addition, training is about to begin for the IRIS-T missile crews prior to the delivery of that system later on in the summer. Training is also about to begin for the crews of the Cobra counter artillery radar that is due to be delivered in September.

Let's be clear.
Russia will be deathly afraid of antagonising any foreign dignitary who visits Kiev as the immediate response would be for that country to promise more advanced weaponry for Ukraine as a matter of urgency.
They are an impotent nation as long as putin is in charge.
Putin appears to still have designs on Kharkiv, surely taking this city is a bridge too far?
Wahey! Let's hand over Eastern Europe to the Kremlin. I know Stranger Things is in-vouge, but that's an 80s retro flex too far.
Where do the UK and French nuclear missiles go in this scenario?
Admitedly the UK one's at least are all submarine based so could be anywhere already and not necessarily in Europe as it is.
What is it with abusive/psyco warmonger regimes that attracts certain women?
Both the UK and France's delivery systems exclusively are submarine based. The USA has gravity nuclear bombs at various sites in Europe, all very 1950s, Enola Gay and mostly for show. No hypothetical nuclear war would have such air-delivery-over-city in this day and age.
If they wanted to strike (Russia for instance), they have over-the-horizon missile capability and submarine delivery lurking in the depths. Russia knows this well.
Wasn't sure about France but figured they were likely all submarine based as well.
Russia hasn't much going for it, but it has Energy and food and is globally important in both.
Energy security in Western Europe is poor and food producers are now viewed as the lowest of the low, it's greener to outsource to Russia, Brazil and others. More importantly in a society unwilling to pay for food, it's dirt cheap.
Why wouldn't Putin leverage it, Europe is doing the heavy lifting for him
Not quite correct. France also has an airborne nuclear component. This comes in the shape of ASMP cruise missiles with a variable yield thermonuclear warhead, carried by specially Rafale fighter aircraft. The yield can be adjusted from 100 to 300 kilotons. I'm not sure how many Rafale have been modified for the nuclear strike role, or how many ASMP are actually active, but something between 50 and 60 available missiles would be my guess.
Interestingly, France used to operate land based ballistic missiles as well, but those were decommissioned in the 1990s.
Yeh various “green” parties and movements in Europe have a lot to answer for, it’s almost like they are being paid by Russians to further Putin’s cause
anyways
Erdogan to visit Russia on August the 5th.
He's expected to meet Putin.
I wonder how long Putin will keep him waiting!!
What concession was Russia being given in the grain deal? There has to be some bone for Russia if anyone expected the deal to hold, otherwise it's just Russia agreeing to give up potential leverage for no benefit to them.
I think they were allowed to export fertilizer as part of the deal.
Civilians were killed and wounded as a result of Russian air strikes on the town of "Al-Jadida" in the Jisr al-Shughur countryside, west of Idlib
Switchblade attack on FSB
Well their blockade of the port of Odesa was / is completely illegal under international law. I'm not entirely sure what could be legally offered to a criminal regime by means of a trade off.
Their invasion of Ukraine is illegal under international law as well. Didn't stop them doing it, nor did it prevent the idea of concessions to end said invasion be mooted. Realpolitik seems to trump international law where the concerned players are big enough.
Looks like it missed. Must have been a French design
Never was going to happen. You'd be a fool to believe a Russian.

“Sonnenfeld's paper says that the official Russian statistics are lies.”
Which cracks me up as we have several posters in parallel thread in this subforum raving on about the strong ruble, but unable to answer a simple question of where outside Russia (and for that matter inside now that it’s illegal to convert) one can get rubles, they may as well be raving on about the value of the North Korean Won
