It reminds me of Western Europe (looking at you France & Germany) not listening to Central & Eastern Europe on russia. We need some old fashioned brinkmanship to occur here. Ukraine is asking for these weapons despite situations in their country like russia positioning heavy weapon inside the bounds of a nuclear power plant. Surely at this point they've proven themselves in this fight.
