Turkish presidency: We are ready to help remove mines from the Black Sea
who knows, they need to get closer to the action but might expire doing just that
Good article about the successful use of HIMARS in Ukraine. It definitely seems to be having a huge impact :
I was just coming to post that, tankies must be on some powerful copium today 😂
😂. I suspect your previous handle was dumped out of this thread and now your back like a bad smell.
Some of the Russian ammo is getting a bit rusty
Russia is like having a rabid dog in the neighbourhood and expecting everyone else to deal with the bites and shite
Russian military have a 25 -1 air unit number advantage over the Ukrainians.
Not establishing air dominance early was a bizarre move.
Russian air force is crocked. Fanny all of the airframes are airworthy due to corruption, theft of parts, machinery and graft at the officer level.
A distinct lacking of Kremlin Kreeps of late insinuating Russia were going to inevitably win.
Thats not to underestimate the challenge - hell no -Ukraine is effectively a farming nation up against war mongers.
But Ukraine will be on the winning side. I suspect Russia knows this at this stage, but it’s a bit like turning the Titanic, it’s hard to manovre away from the Iceberg.
This is am interesting article from RUSI on the topic.
( The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), registered as Royal United Service Institute for Defence and Security Studies and formerly the Royal United Services Institute for Defence Studies, is a British defence and security think tank. It was founded in 1831 by the Duke of Wellington, Sir Arthur Wellesley)

I remember thinking that in the early days of the war. How bizzare but great that UAF still had birds in the air.
But lot of other things made little sense either. The repeated failed attempts to take that airport outside of Kyiv, the Northern convoy stuck and jammed up.
Tractors stealing tanks.
Yeah they wasted their supposed crack troops on that jaunt into the airport.
No they didn't waste them. That was all a clever feint according to the Russian propaganda mouthpieces. Apparently. Because that's what you do with your elite troops. You plan to get them wiped out.
Bit like their renew their General staffing strategy through retirement by bullet.
General Custer level genius.
Doesnt matter if you dont have enough pilots to fly them
Biden won't give Ukraine ATACMS.
Christ, what a blunder.
Shelling reported at Tekstilshik district of Donetsk
Even the most optimistic Putinbot must have realised that the mighty Russian armies have only managed to take a small plot of land in the past 3 months.
I'm really not sure who he's trying to keep happy. It's not as if the Russians will feel more pleasantly disposed to him.
Russia need to find a way to get out and try save as much face as possible .
The longer it drags on the harder it gets .
They is easy. Withdraw and declare all objectives successful. Their brainwashed public would accept it without question.
Uhh... what'd happen to them if they did question?
Thread on sad state of Russian academia
We in west repeatedly assume Russia was a continuation of USSR but the best scientists and engineers either emigrated or died off, it seems it’s just pure grim now, at least Soviets understood the value of science and engineering especially when applied in military, the current lot just view academia as a grow bed for anti Putinism
It reminds me of Western Europe (looking at you France & Germany) not listening to Central & Eastern Europe on russia. We need some old fashioned brinkmanship to occur here. Ukraine is asking for these weapons despite situations in their country like russia positioning heavy weapon inside the bounds of a nuclear power plant. Surely at this point they've proven themselves in this fight. It's very frustrating to hear news like this, the jets (I accept that's a long training schedule) etc. putrid started this fire, pour some petrol on it and let him worry about finding a way to put it out.
This guy, 100% (not "Ferocious Ferret", a former Russian defence minister)
The next war?
What will happen is what been happening up to now
Anyways regarding the grain deal
And like night follows day Russia have started lobbing missiles at the port of Odessa.
Russia's big boast of a significant escalation of actions if everyone did not accept their terms ... turned out to be a damp squib.
